Magical! This is a bit of a fluff novel but it's really sweet. I didn't expect too much going into it but turned out to really enjoy it. I wish there was a little more character development as far as the major supporting characters but it was tidied all up in a bow. Do you believe in magic?

This is the second book in the Veil Chronicles and it has a different perspective from the first although I feel the events run fairly parallel. You learn more about the society and even one of the characters from Wild Magic. It is all like pieces of a puzzle and I can't wait to fit them all together.

Couldn't put it down!
This book is amazing! A diverse set of twenty somethings embark on a great adventure. There's espionage, political savvy, action, and magic! The characters are so relatable!
Not only does Caruso provide intriguing plots and clever dialogue but the themes she explores are thought provoking and deep.
I recommend this novel for anyone and everyone!

What a great read! This was a fun action packed page turner. Gideon Jones is such an engaging charismatic character I found myself drawn into his world and on the edge of my seat as he dealt with the perils of ninja assassins and dark magic. Do yourself a favor and get this book!

My FAVORITE book
Fantasy meets punk in this coming of age story about a teen who has traveled to Bordertown, a place where magic is real and technology is spotty at best. He makes friends with a ragtag group of humans, elves, and halfies. I've read this book 3 or 4 times and it never gets old.

I think a quote from the book would best describe how I feel about it.
"In expert words, manipulated deftly, they take you prisoner. Wind themselves round your limbs like spider silk, and when you are so enthralled you cannot move, they pierce your skin, enter your blood, numb your thoughts. Inside you they work their magic."

Look, it’s not perfect. But it is entirely charming, and does an excellent job of capturing the spirit, the humor, and the magic of the novel that has won so many hearts over the years. After all this time, it’s exactly the sort of faithful adaptation that the fans deserve.
