Eli Faces Crime in This Short Story Collection
For the eighth book in the Eli Marks series, author John Gaspard decided to present a short story collection. While two have been previously released, the rest of the twelve stories here are new. Over the course of this collection, Eli must help his ex-wife and her new husband figure out what happened in a bizarre murder/suicide case. Eli finds himself being questioned by the police when someone who gave him a one-star review is found dead. Eli finds himself being sent in by the police to perform magic for a man who refuses to come out of his house. And Eli and his uncle Harry figure out what happened to a man shot in front of a crowd on Halloween night.
While a couple of the stories don’t feature a crime, they still give us a great chance to see Eli in action and let us get some insight into his character. The rest of the stories feature a crime, often with a perfect puzzle that only makes sense when Eli uses his knowledge of the principles of magic to solve it. If you want to be fooled by magic, you’ll be happy to know that these principles are discussed in such a way that the solution to the mystery makes sense, but the specifics of how a trick works aren’t ruined. I love that. Fans will love getting these small glimpses of what else Eli has been up to between the big cases we’ve already read about. If you are new to the character, you’ll find the information you need to follow these cases with nothing from the regular novels spoiled. Most importantly, these stories are fun, with a few laughs along the way as well. This is a completely enjoyable short story collection.

Surprisingly good
I was bored and decided to watch an episode to see if it was any good. I was hooked. I don't like anime, I like well drawn animation and this has pretty decent art.
Each characters design is unique and matches their personality.
Fans of the Avatar animated series might like this. Its created by the same person, Aaron Ehasz and has voice actor Jack De Sena. Its a world of magic, elves and dragons. Magic that is similar to airbending skills in Avatar. I dont want to give too much away, but i can tell you theres lots of funny parts without being cheesy. Theres lots of action and cool looking fight scenes. Touching emotional and dramatic moments. Its really well written, epicly rich world building, interesting history and lore.
Theres also sort of a moral theme running throughout.. "for the greater good" So whether they are likeable or not, you can see the motivations behind each characters actions as the story progresses.
And the story is pretty awsome. Its so compelling, I had to binge watch the entire season! I cannot wait till season 2.

If hes to survive, he must learn to fight, and find courage he never knew he had.
Hes about to become part of a legend.
If you love magic, mystery, and Arthurian legend, youll love Toms Inheritance.
I have always enjoyed Arthurian tales but this beats the lot.
The characters are delightfully complex and intriguing, and all so different.
This is such a fun and magical adventure.
So beautifully written and descriptive.
I really, really enjoyed this story.
I am looking forward to getting started on the next book in the series Twice Born, which is about Merlin.
Can't wait to see where all the series leads.

This book is very different then my normal go to paranormal so I am glad it didn’t leave me disappointed. Alex is a event planner but she takes it to a new level of partying. She grows up with powers she didn’t really understand and a mother who was more high than sober. This book gave me chills at times but I loved it.
You get what you want out of this book. The author leaves so many possibilities open that you just can not guess where it will lead. You get views of her past and you understand how she turn out this way. But it seems nothing is working for her. Her therapist and friend are no help. The scenes are hot but classy.
I enjoyed her highs and lows because even though she had magic her life wasn’t perfect. She was learning and still struggling like any other person. If you don’t believe in a little magic you will after reading this. I love reading books when the author is a word magician. With every moment and emotion you feel what they feel.

Mind blowing
I can't put into words how much I enjoyed this film. Whilst, I scored it an 8 (it's hard to get a 10 rating out of me), there was a lot of spins and twists in this film. There were points where I was staring at the television trying to work out how they performed certain magic tricks. Whilst everything is eventually explained to you it does still leave you questioning. This is probably the vaguest review I've ever written but I don't want to spoil it for anyone or take the magic out of what a wonderful and unique film this really is. The only criticism I could say is that at the start when Henley is in the box and the piranhas are going to fall down, it was a bit predictible. However, that is the only real piece of criticism I can give. Even though I was tired, when the movie ended, I began desperately searching to watch the second one (to no avail). Looking forward to watching the second film and seeing what tricks they have up their sleeves next!

A very good read! The book and story flowed effortlessly. All sorts of emotions coming from the young prince, also a lot of hatred for Precilla. Slightly predicable in places but Ry is a strong character with strong friends backing her up!
Looking forward to hearing more in the Apprentice.
