Georgina DeBurca (2 KP) rated Sex, Wolves and Rock 'n Roll (Lyric Hounds #3) in Books
Jan 29, 2018
This is a slightly different style of book compared to others of this series. It's a male/male romance. And as opposed to leaping into hardcore man on man sex scenes, there is a lot of focus on the emotions. Don't get me wrong, there were romance scenes involving sex acts and they were written perfectly. But the emotions portrayed in this one kept me hooked til the end and I fell in love with the two lovers in this book.
Well written, as normal. No silly errors tripping me up. Good pace. Showed back story. Brought past characters into this story and showed more character development again.
Loved it.
5/5
Would definitely suggest to friends.

Caffeinated Fae (464 KP) rated His Risk to Take (Line of Duty, #2) in Books

This was a guilty pleasure book for me. I really enjoyed it. The Hero was... well... he was a dirty mouthed, pained, sexy, troubled, and all around alpha male. I liked the banter between the characters and I liked that both characters were damaged.
This was a short novel so I didn't get the character development that I would have liked. I liked that there was still some depth to the characters, not enough, but enough for you to understand their motives.
All in all, this was an extremely quick and easy read. If you're looking for an easy smut novel with a dirty mouthed alpha male, this is the book for you.

I really enjoyed this book. The ending is a cliffhanger, which seriously sucks because I need to know what happens next. I loved the alpha male character, the main girl was a tad bit annoying at times, but overall she grew on me. The chemistry and sex was HOTT. I loved it.
Sara Cox (1845 KP) rated Bookseller Of Kabul (Digital Audio Book) in Books
Aug 13, 2018
I really enjoyed this book. It give different views of members of a family and how they view other members and their life. It's interesting to see how the Taliban changed things, and how things changed post-Taliban. It is also interesting to read about the female-male difference, in responsibility and view.

The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated What Girls Are Good For: A Novel of Nellie Bly in Books
Oct 5, 2020 (Updated Oct 5, 2020)
Nellie Bly was possibly the world's first under-cover, investigative journalist - both male or female - and her story is well worth investigating through this intense biographical, historical fiction novel "What Girls are Good For: A Novel of Nelly Bly" by David Blixt. <br/>https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2019/01/11/a-female-journalistic-pioneer/
