ArecRain (8 KP) rated Off Limits (Aces Hockey, #1.5) in Books
Jan 18, 2018
The second work I read by this author, and I honestly enjoyed it more. That may have more to do with the fact that I love friends to lovers stories. While I understand the male leads hesitation, I feel that its less realistic in adults especially since his torture is self-induced. I was also annoyed that the female lead was crushing on him even though she brought a date with her. I find that tasteless and childish.
Ignoring all that, it was a cute quick read with enough heat between the leads to make it feel real and the author is great at writing engaging dialogue.
ArecRain (8 KP) rated Two Dukes are Better Than One in Books
Jan 18, 2018
Overall, I did enjoy this read. The storyline was interesting enough and most of the erotic scenes are well written. I wasnt wowed by it, but, knowing what I know now, I would have still read it.

I am glad it was free because I would have be furious had I paid money for this. I am already annoyed that I wasted the time reading it.
Suswatibasu (1703 KP) rated The Woman in the Window in Books
Mar 2, 2018
Following the story of psychologist Dr Anna Fox, it shows how agoraphobia has taken over her life, not before she witnesses something horrific in pure Hitchcock fashion. Her new neighbours, the Russells, appear to be hiding a secret which she catches while spying with her camera from across the window.
With that said, there are some classic thrillers built into the book such as Vertigo, Rear Window, and Wait Until Dark. And the main character happens to be a fan of these films as well. Good, but nothing completely new.
MoMoBookDiary (20 KP) rated No Small Parts (Bluewater Bay, #16) in Books
Oct 1, 2018
This is book sixteen in the Bluewater Bay series but the first I have read. Whilst it was an enjoyable read I do not have the burning desire to rush out and read the rest of the series.
No Small Parts is a quick read and a bit predictable – or have I just read too many romances and not enough crime lately? The writing was engaging with relatable characters who are interesting and very well described by the author. I enjoyed the story of friendship and romance between the two male characters.
