1.5 stars, mainly due to the fact that I had no idea what was going on.

It started off fairly normal but I quickly lost track of the plot, with the lawyer-y guy picking up prostitutes and sleeping with most things male. I had no idea if that was part of his investigation or he just liked to get laid.

Then the other guy and his following said lawyer. I was really confused by that bit. Wasn't he supposed to be a criminal? He wasn't acting criminal-y at all. And then that bit at the end just really confused me.

I was completely stumped. I don't know if I missed bits--huge chunks of this short story!!--or it just didn't sink in, what was happening, but it's fair to say I had absolutely no idea. I won't be continuing this serial.

I'd like to thank Natasha Is a Book Junkie for recommending this book to her friends and followers.

I really enjoyed this. It was a really good BDSM/erotic romance book and I was captivated by it from early on, maybe even then first page. It kept me reading well into the night on the two days it took me to read it.

The characters were well developed and I liked both of them. Mac was the hard-arsed cop who never really let himself get totally into a relationship and Violet was the mysterious Dom who wanted to make him hers.

Add in the mystery of who was killing the male submissives and you get an erotic romance with splashes of suspense here and there.

I enjoyed their journey, both in the bedroom/cellars and out of it, and look forward to reading more from this author.

"Almost everything I have tried to say, Yoko Ono was saying over 30 years ago. For half a century, she has been a prophet in our midst. On WARZONE, producer Thomas Bartlett sets her sage voice amid the barest of arrangements, shining a light once and for all on the essence of Ono’s legacy.A recent Netflix film revealed that Yoko cowrote the words for “Imagine,” one of the songs for which John Lennon was deified. It is pure Yoko that she would sit silently next to John as he sang it, knowing the world would listen to her message if it seemed to be from the perspective of her partner, a white, male English megastar. Yoko Ono has given and given to us. She is one of the most brilliant and generous artists of the 20th century, and the public record now reflects this."

Ad Astra (Brad Pitt, Tommy Lee Jones) was just awful. More Vauxhall Astra than Interstellar. Fails the Bechdel test and the male equivalent, no one says anything interesting to another human. Not even saved by a surprise monkey attack and some spritely Moon pirates. Looked good in places but was severely lacking in the intelligent sci-fi department, which is a major flaw given the billing. It seems this is getting highly rated because everyone likes its star (and producer) Brad Pitt, and they presume him staring into deep space looking morose and quizzical makes this a profound movie - it doesn't.
A huge let-down, considering the talent involved.
