Race the Darkness is a dark, paranormal, romance, suspense story, filled with connections, legends, and "bad stuff" that you wouldn't wish on anyone. Xander is our main male - an as*hole by his own admission. The trouble is, I can completely understand why he behaves the way he does. Even with his attitude, he wormed his way into my heart, and I only wanted the best for him. Isleen is almost ethereal, and not just because of her physical appearance.

This story is gripping from the very beginning, and it is hard to believe that this is Abbie Roads' debut novel! Exceedingly well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow. Race the Darkness flows so well, building up at certain points, before coming gently down, and then building up again.

I have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone who wants a slightly darker read, with plenty of 'character'. Absolutely wonderful.

"Their songs have these great back-and-forth male-female vocals and really introspective lyrics that I love. We toured with them in the UK with Bikini Kill so I met them and was like, "Jesus Christ, bands here are just so much better than in the US" and, "Oh my god, they're so fucking good!" They made me feel like they were a band that was happening in the now. They reminded me that even when you're not in your twenties or whatever, it still has to be about now and not about yesterday. You can write a song about yesterday but the reason you're doing it is so that you can get to now. Your work has to be about now and not about yesterday: "This is something I'm thinking about today." All the beautiful, humble moments on their album, the musicality of it is just amazing. I've seen them live like a thousand times and they've never disappointed me – Rachel [Evans] and Ben [Phillipson] singing together is just an absolute dream."

My Safe Haven is the 12th and final book in the Lyrics of Love series and finally, FINALLY, Jace finds his girl. Unfortunately for him, Jenna is a bit more skittish about being with him than he would like but she does have her reasons. Reasons which come out with time throughout the book and are heart-breaking.

This was a great story with a gentle, hot, and supportive main male and a feisty but slightly broken main female. I loved how Jace didn't rush her in any way and let her make her own mind up. She is running for good reasons but will she learn to run to Jace?

This was a great finale to the series, with plenty of cameos from previous couples. A feel-good story to end on which I have no hesitation in recommending.

Relaxing And Fun Game
I love this game because of how much there is to do in it, but it gives you a relaxed feel like Stardew Valley. If you like Stardew Valley and Minecraft you will like this game. The game allows you the freedom to explore and take your time with it. There are fun festival days and you can get to know your neighbors as well as romance specific characters with your male or female character. There are a few build missions that are timed, but the game doesn't really punish you if you miss the deadline. There are fun mini games too as well as dungeon crawl areas where you can battle monsters and earn rewards. The game has a ton of things to do and it can feel a little overwhelming, but if you take your time with it you find a rhythm that works. I found I really liked just gathering materials for my workshop and crafting. It's a fun and relaxing game that offers a lot of different things for everyone.
