The book A Scatter of Light written by Malinda Lo was a very wonderfully written novel and a great read. My reasons for choosing to read A Scatter of Light are I love the theme of the novel and Malinda Lo is one of my favorite authors so when I saw this book it was an automatic read for me. I rated A Scatter of Light a four out of five stars because the book was great from the start to the end of it. It's a coming of age story about discovering bisexuality. It takes place during the first major decision dealing with legalizing same sex marriage by the Supreme Court. During the story Aria Tang West is sent to her Grandmother's after a party gone wrong. She goes there exspecting not to have fun until she meets her Grandmother's gardener. Her Grandmother's gardener changes the outcome of her summer for the better. I hope others enjoy this great read too.

I was unsure where this story was going for most of it but I was intrigued and once it got there, it had me hooked.

Will is married to Harmony; their marriage is somewhat strained and when they meet Will's childhood friend, Luke, at a party, things begin to unravel in spectacular style.

With increasing tension and a realisation that things are becoming more sinister, I found The Judas Tree almost impossible to stop listening to and this was helped by the narrator, Joe Jameson, who was great; he kept me engaged and really brought the characters to life.

This is a very powerful story of how bullying and trauma in childhood can impact the rest of your life and shape the choices you make and if ever there was an advert not to be a bully, this is it and I must give my thanks to HarperCollins UK Audio and NetGalley for enabling me to listen and share my thoughts of The Judas Tree.

Another slice of life farming/dungeon book
I've read all 5 of the Casual Farming novels that are currently out, though this is the first one I've actually written a review on. We've followed Jason from his arrival in Summer Shandy to his marriage and first child. Old friends have new roles, new faces have joined the town so he's not the newest guy, and he has thoroughly settled in. I really enjoyed this.

I am still, after 5 books, unsure of what to make of the time system in this universe. I'm happy we don't have Jason's wife puking all day every day for 7 months, but getting through the pregnancy in one season is a little strange. It works though, kind of like the seasons changing at midnight exactly on the last day of the season.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to book 6, whenever they get it published. :)

I couldn’t fault this book I had to go with 5⭐️. It was so bloody good. I asked my husband if he could remake me would he? He said no bloody chance ones enough! Guess I’m not the perfect wife 🤣🤣.
The ending to this was intense and definitely a twist I didn’t know where it was going. Really enjoyed it.

Omg this book had me hooked and it was insane!!! At the root of it it’s 3 people who suffered abuse as children who never felt they fit in anywhere even with their own families. It’s so completely mind absorbing that even now I’ve read it I still don’t know what I’ve just read 🤣
Did they find common ground in each others trauma? Or they could be real aliens maybe?
