I don't usually like period dramas or anything historical. But this, is art. The fashion is gorgeous, enough to make me buy a corset and several dresses in the style. And its quite funny for something set so long ago.

Daphne is the beautiful oldest daughter of the Bridgerton house, one of Londons richest. She is one of the debutantes set for marriage along with many other eligible bacholerettes and is highly sought after the Queen dubs her a Diamond. But since their father is gone, her oldest brother Antony is responsible for scaring off matches, and that he does. Leaving her with no choice but some hideous man who I can't even remember the name of.

Simon is the Duke of Hastings, taking over his fathers work after his death. He is very handsome and very rich. All the ladies want him and all the mothers want him for their daughter's. He happens to be Antonys best friend from their boarding school times and after meeting Daphne, they decide to fake a courtship so she can seem desirable again and he will be left alone. But without even realising, they start to fall in love.
After the Queens handsome nephew starts to fall for Daphne, and their plan seems to be working, he realises he wants her and 'defiles' her honour at a party. After a failed duel on her brothers part, they are to be married despite his refusal and his insistence that he can't have children or give her the big family she dreams of.

Forever Consumed was the final written chapter of Olivia and Seth's story - because we all know the characters' lives continue, if not on paper. I am pleased with the ending, though *Spoiler Alert* I'm not a fan of surprise pregnancies (not that it was much of a surprise, I pretty much guessed it as soon as she started puking). I'm glad Seth got his final fight, and won, against Don. I'm glad their marriage survived an unecessary situation. I'm glad Olivia and Seth both ended up happy with having a baby, *Spoiler Alert* and I'm very pleased that they ended up having a baby girl. The main thing I was disappointed in was Olivia's reaction - or lack thereof - when she watched the video of *Spoiler Alert* Seth and Selena kissing. I expected her to brush it off at first, because she was used to doing that with Blade, but I truly felt like she should have had more of a reaction, something a little similar to how she reacted to Selena's betrayal. I'm not saying she shouldn't have forgiven Seth (I mean, it was just a kiss and it was so obvious it pained him to have done it), but that whole scene was real anti-comactic and I was disappointed to see that Olivia was more upset with Selena. However, I'm glad she finally said something to the girl, because her sudden change in personality had me wondering where Olivia's best friend went. Other than that particular situation, I loved the story. In fact, my favorite scene from the whole trilogy was when Olivia and Seth first arrived at the desert. It was nice to watch these two grow as a individuals, as a couple, and as a family. [I wouldn't mind a spinoff of Selena and Jackson, though, just saying!]

I enjoyed the first chapter so had to watch the second. I have read it is much closer to the book than the 80s version, however having never read the book i can't comment on that element.
The movie is set years after the first one and the loser gang have now gone their seperate ways, All but one had moved out of derry, some of them have a successful career and Beverly is unfortunately in an abusive marriage, but all this changes when they get the dreaded phone call to come back to derry - pennywise has returned and needs to be destroyed for good! The first few minutes of the movie where we are reintroduced to the characters is pretty slow going but once they meet up at the restaurant, things move pretty quickly and you forget how long the movie actually is. What i found with this movie though is how funny it is, not just at the humour between the group but the different monsters we meet, for example a zombie knew how to drive a car 😂😂. I was a little disappointed with the ending as i expected something spectacular to kill him, but it was literally just belittling pennywise until he shrunk down into a baby like form and then removing his heart and squeezing it until he dies, it just seemed too easy! I'm also surprised that they still had him tramsform into a spider like form, despite people not liking the original ending, again though this might be in the book. Regardless of these faults though i still enjoyed the movie and highly recommend it.
