Very cute candy crush like game
I have never liked a matching game before this one. It has a cute story, easy to use game feature, and development as you go. You use stars gotten from matching to clean up their cave and surrounding area. Funny and cute!

I like this app. There are pictures and word matching activities, you translate to and from your native language from written words and by listening to a recording, and it records you speaking to get practice that way too. It's set up to just do a little bit each day so you don't feel overwhelmed, or you can do as much as you want.

I guess advertising does work; I saw several commercials on Hulu with Ryan Reynolds playing this game. That was months ago, and I finally downloaded this the other day when I got bored with Candy Crush.
This game is at least a little mentally engaging. It's a standard matching game, and it does get more complicated pretty quickly.
Overall, it's a good mobile game to play at work while on teleconferences.

The storyline gives it a slight edge on other matching games.
I've been playing Homescapes for a few months at this point. (I'm somewhere in the 200s level-wise, but can't recall exactly which one offhand.) The storyline is really what sets Homescapes apart from the other match-gem games. I've played the original game, Gardenscapes, and it just couldn't hold my attention. However, with this one they seem to have hit upon the perfect mix of silly and interesting to keep me playing along.
I especially like (and simultaneously hate) how every so often you have a chance to get an hour or so of unlimited lives while playing. Because, naturally, this happens at the worst possible time for me! This game is responsible for me staying up until 1 or 2 am on several occasions because of this.
Better than some of the other matching games out there. Worth giving it a shot.
