"In this political season, it’s important to remember that politics has always been a dirty business. Robert Altman scores big with two very well-aimed political targets: the unraveling of Richard Nixon in 1984’s Secret Honor and the media circus surrounding a presidential campaign in his 1988 miniseries Tanner ’88. I grew up watching comedian Rich Little doing Richard Nixon impressions that are seared into my brain. Philip Baker Hall is not doing a Richard Nixon impression. He is Richard Nixon. Sans gimmicks. It is a gut-wrenchingly good performance in what is virtually a one-man show. Tanner ’88 stars Michael Murphy as a decent liberal Democrat who—SPOILER ALERT—does not take the Democratic nomination. Sound familiar? Yeah. Depressing. Haskell Wexler’s 1969 film Medium Cool should really just be called Super Fucking Cool but then you’d lose the play on the word “medium” and boy is Wexler playing with medium here—a fictional story, shot cinema verité style, against a backdrop of the very real riots at the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. It’s a doozy and especially resonant as we watch the circus leading up to what is sure to be an ugly convention season"

LUIGI'S MANSION 3
I absolutely loved Luigi's Mansion 3 ! The puzzles were extremely creative and fun to solve, the story is uniquely imaginative, there is an abundance of hilariously funny humor throughout the game, and the difficulty was at a medium level which kept me from getting frustrated or stuck.
Overall, Luigi's Mansion 3 is a pleasingly lighthearted and cleverly charming addition to my Nintendo Switch games.

"My favorite Fellini film, and the one that opened me up to foreign films and inspired me to look into the window of other cultures and artworks outside of my immediate influences. Anyone interested in the creative process, of any medium, should take in this film for its personal vision of the artist and the artist’s life, and where these intersect and divide. A masterpiece."

"“The reason that hit so close to home is because, one, Blink 182 rules. I don’t care what anyone says. Two, I lost my virginity immediately following a Blink 182 concert. Literally they sang ‘All The Small Things,’ we went to a hotel and we did the deed. That song is really relevant. ‘All The Medium Things’ is probably a better example of what the song should have said."

"With only the help of a possessed cop and a medium, Adams must trek through a Hollywood underground filled with pornography, prostitutes, and sadists, along with supernatural monsters. But can he solve the case when his own haunting memories keep surfacing, telling him exactly what kind of man he was in life?"

The inspiration for the Ron-Perlman led movie(s) of the same name, Hellboy - like the lead character - is sort of a strange mix: in this case, of the occult with the medium of the graphic novel with a very Cthulu-like monster at the end of the tale.

I also have to say that this is proof that Marvel and DC aren't the only two publishers in the world able to produce compelling and enjoyable reads!

I'm sure teenage boys will love it? Maybe?
Dear lord! The quest makes no sense, there is no surprising twist, it is trite and superficial, disjointed and played like a teenage malcontent's dream. The actors do their best, and I am clearly not the target audience, but I had hoped the visual medium would make the story watchable. Sadly it does not.
