Stylish and full of features

The Alta manages to be both stylish, light and sleek as well as containing all the desired features of a fitness band and smartwatch in one go. This slimline band fits on the wrist and will track any heart-rate-raising activity - it excels at detection, being able to determine road cycling from mountain biking (but it cannot detect weight lifting, as the heart rate isn't consistently high enough. It will detect a cardio class like Body Pump though.) It will monitor sleep cycles, your active minutes and calories burned. You can set all manner of goals in the app - fitness, diet or sleep goals, for example - and data is displayed in easy-to-read formats. Honestly I wouldn't be without it: it makes controlling your fitness a breeze, which is vital when you have goals to hit and stats to crunch. It will also, as a bonus, hook up to your phone and display the first line of any text or whatsapp messages, and you can set a silent alarm too.

I am new to Lori Benton's works. This will not be the last Benton book that I read. I am a fan for life now. I had no idea what to expect with this book, and wow! Was I ever surprised!

The messages woven with in this story are wonderful. Watching the characters, seeing the spiritual and emotional struggles they endured, was incredible. I became them for a time, while I turned the pages of this amazingly written novel. The details that Ms. Benton adds to this story, are beautifully done and I loved the feeling I got as I was transported to another place in time.

I highly recommend this novel! Four stars, and two thumbs, this book should be on everyone's book shelf! This book will twist you up, spin you around and leave you wanting more from this amazingly talented author. Well done, Ms. Benton!

I enjoyed Ms. Dicken's work with this newest installment in the My Heart Belongs series. She is a superbly talented author and really swept me away with her coal mining setting and her beautifully chiseled characters. As a granddaughter of a miner, I really loved reading this time period.

Alex and Leanna's characters were perfect! I was instantly captivated by them both and loved watching them grow in their feelings for each other. And, the sweet children! Oh how I adored them and was glad that they were in the story.

This is definitely a 4 star addition to the series. If you are longing for a book that will take you away to a richly detailed historical setting, to a world where the characters become like family, and a book that is filled with beautiful messages of longing, hope and forgiveness, then grab this one up! Ms. Dicken has a new fan in me.
