I have to admit it's been a while since I read the previous book, Harvest Moon, and it took me a while to remember what had happened for some of this to make sense. From what I do remember this leads on from the last with people looking for the missing Sage.

I enjoy C.L's stories and this was no different although it seemed to lack something, though I'm not sure what.

Book Favorite

"My father in law, Victor Levenstein, just finished writing his own memoirs about his early life and surviving torture and forced labor in the Gulags. He met Solzhenitsyn while in exile and was in the same camp that is described in “A Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich”. I found this book to be deeply profound in observing humans at their absolute worst while never missing the big story of human nature."

Comes pre installed on most Android phones, and I want to like it. I really do.

However, doesn't cover all sporting activities (missing any option, other than 'other', to record my main sporting activity of archery), rarely syncs properly with my Fossil Sport and never retains my distance, despite recording said distance immediately after a walk or run (but then later shows 0 miles for same record).

As such, can't really recommend it.

Sure, it’s hardly Hereditary, but it’s the kind of playfulness that’s sorely missing from the rest of Annabelle Comes Home. If a horror film isn’t intending to hold a mirror to society or to ourselves, and all it wants to do is make things go bump in the night, it needs to be fun enough for us to forgive the lack of substance.

This is a fictional book of short stories. Each story focuses on a character and his or her life in a period of time after the earthquake in Kobe, Japan in 1995. I think the book was probably better than I think it was. Honestly, I think I'm thinking too deeply about a couple of the stories, and I'm missing the simplicity. The stories were all interesting on a personal level, though.
