In spite of the fact that Joesbury is largely absent from this book, the Mark/Lacey storyline features more prominently than it did in Lost (or Like This, For Ever, depending which edition you read). I was really missing it in the last book so I was happy to see more of it this time around.
Finally, Thessa's character is well-written and beautifully portrayed. I fell in love with her straight away.
I've got Here Be Dragons next on my reading list and I have high hopes for it. Still, I can't wait for the next full-length novel in this series!

This book was gripping...from page one for me. We all have those friendships that become distant or strained through time. And this story takes you on the journey of hidden secrets and possibilities of when the truth comes out...can relationships survive nthe truth?!? Again, loved this booked, it was gripping, engaging and transported me to the beautiful location of Tulum, Mexico as Natalie and Lauren scramble to find out what happened to their missing friend.
Great work Liz and Lisa, you did it again and knocked it out of the park!

Clara’s life is turned upside down when her boyfriend, Luke, goes missing. As she frantically searches for clues of his whereabouts, she discovers threatening emails, pictures, notes, and a break in at her home that make her think that Luke was not only being stalked but that he was maybe not who she thought.
I could not put this book down. I kept wanting to know what would happen, kept guessing along the way, and was constantly surprised at how wrong I was!

Set on a beautiful estate with a winery, I learned a lot. Donegan's wisdom and passion are beyond compare. Tressa's determination and longing for love make them the perfect pair! Watching them fight through their internal struggles and overcome so many threats, is inspiring.
Set in England 1866, you will be sucked into the story from the first page. And make sure you pick up a copy of Lady Jayne Disappears while you're at it.
I received a complimentary copy of A Rumored Fortune from the publishers. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.

From the deck of cards, one is removed. Everyone is dealt a card. The first player draws a card, and plays a card, completing the action stated. The next player then does the same. Simple enough.
As there is only a finite amount of cards, and one has been removed, you never know exactly what is in play, or what is missing. You might have a Prince in you hand, but is another Prince about to be played, or has one been removed from the deck?
As I say, it is a very, very simple game, but also very enjoyable.

There are some plot holes but not enough to ruin the series and the twists and turns in the story keep you wanting to watch the next episode.
Who can she trust, who is helping her and who is against her are all things that crop up in this series where every episode is a different day with some parts told in flashback.
Recommended, even if the critics didn't particularly like it
