"I parted ways with Luaka Bop maybe 10 years ago—it was taking too much of my time and my money and my house. But the label still goes on. And they’ve done wonderful things, including this album by the African electronic musician William Onyeabor a few years ago. And then they put on shows of people like myself and others performing his songs. They continue to do great things."

The war-traumatized pilot Larry Darrell was my first encounter with a character who walks away from conventional social life to find inner meaning. I suppose you could say that Maugham waves a sparkler at the start of the spiritual journey. Materialism and money-grubbing get a bashing, which is worth thinking about today."

A family of four staying at a secluded mobile home park for the night are stalked and then hunted by three masked psychopaths.



I honestly don't know why anyone would put money into making this film. It's predictable, but not in a nostalgic way you get from old terrible horror movies.

Nothing really original in it. A random selection of nutters hunting people. Who knows why? And who cares quite frankly.
