Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2099 KP) rated Mr. Monk Gets on Board (Mr. Monk #17) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
When Natalie decides to attend a business conference on a cruise ship, she is surprised when Monk tags along. She's almost talked him into leaving when she over hears a murder plot. Can they stop it? Can they prove who the killer is?
A couple of times, this book got a little lost in the fun of Monk on the cruise ship, just like the series. And just like in the series, I enjoyed those moments. The mystery was still strong and the characters were great as always.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2099 KP) rated Mr. Monk and the New Lieutenant (Mr. Monk #19) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Monk discovers that a recently deceased judge was actually poisoned. And then Captain Stottlemeyer starts shows the same symptoms. Who is out to kill the captain?
The plot in this one was a little simpler than it might have been, but the characters make it plenty of fun. Yes, there are even some more great laughs along the way.
Sadly, this is looking like it will be the final book in the Monk novels. It’s been a wonderful franchise, and I am going to really miss these characters.

While Natalie tries to figure out the identity of a John Doe who died of natural causes, Monk investigates a string of murders that have the most unual common element - a couch. Another fun book with friends old and new that includes some good twists and laughs.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2099 KP) rated Mr. Monk and The Blue Flu (Mr. Monk, #3) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
The third in the tie-in series finds Monk filling in as homicide captain while the department is on strike. Yet his "team" is worse off then he is. Good mystery with some very funny scenes. Recommended either way, but most definitely recommended for fans of the TV show.
