What's not to love. A heroine that reads books and speaks her mind. Singing candlesticks and a beautiful monster. (0 more)
I thought I would say the live action remake, but I love that too. (0 more)
My favourite disney film.
An epic morality tale that questions whether beauty and kindness of spirit are more than skin deep. With singing bric a brac to lighten the mood.

When I saw this book was under the Humour tag I opened with fingers crossed that it would be more tongue-in-cheek girl-power humour, than towards the radical side. I wasn’t wrong.

Some lovely historical snippets are strewn between a good mixture of easy to follow craft projects. I nearly wee’d laughing at the Tree Decorations and the “Monster” Pouch.

"I want to mention “Jojo Rabbit” which had hands-down the best opening of any film this year from the first frame, with the Beatles rewritten for the Reich as a title track too. A really innovative and entertaining film, which rides a line I’ve never seen before, to imagine how this monster and his organization could brainwash their youth."

"One of many great films noirs in the collection. There are a few things that make this movie unique, including a MacGuffin that introduces an unexpected element of science fiction into a hard-boiled detective story, and Ralph Meeker's great portrayal of private eye Mike Hammer (best name ever). Even by film noir antihero standards, the guy is a monster."
