Old style animation (1 more)
Elvis tunes
This is by far my favorite Disney movie. It seems to be one of the last of their old style of animation, which is absolutely wonderful. The originality of the concept is top notch, and because of the way it was introduced the rest of the series doesn't feel like a lame Pokemon knockoff the way that many other super powered monster type series do.
Probably my favorite part though was that this movie is what really got me into Elvis when I was about 7 or 8 (it's gotten to the point where I actually went to Graceland about 8 years ago).

Meh.

I’m not too sure what I was expecting but it wasn’t what this movie turned out to be. It had so much potential with a name like Ritual, and the setting being rich and endless. It’s also based off an H.P. Lovecraft character and therefore had the tools to really blow it out of the park. Instead, it was circles in the woods, a lot of predictable conversation and then ten minutes of super interesting monster time! I just really feel they could have done so much more with the tools they were using. Wanted a creep fest, got a snooze fest.

Corny but fun!
The self proclaimed "franchise Viagra" is at it again in the film adaptation of the classic 80s video game where you get play as a giant monster out to destroy a city.
As long as you accept the corny premise and go along for the ride, the film is pretty harmless. Kind of felt like I was watching The Mummy with Brendan Fraser, but that's not a critique.
Some of the acting and dialogue was almost enough for me to turn down the volume completely and just watch the pretty pictures flashing across the screen, but I was never bored while watching.
Overall, an entertaining romp.

There isn't a book Pepper has written than I haven't fallen into completely from the moment I read the first page. Her writing draws you in, makes you feel as though you know every thought and feeling and can experience it as close as possible without physically dragging you in. You head and your heart will be never quite be the same though... This story was heartbreaking, watching Pim's struggle and abuse, on top of the connection between Pim and Elder.... all while he struggles to do what is right while he himself is a monster at heart. FABULOUS dark book, can't recommend Pepper's writing enough.. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended dark read!!

I picked this book up expecting it to be a horror/monster novel but it turned out to be so much more than that. This was such an emotional roller coaster and it has stayed with me for a long time after reading.
The hardback copy of this book is beautiful and the illustrations within really adds something special. If you have lost someone to life-sucking disease then you may find this read difficult, I must admit I did at times. It is written beautifully and contains characters that are so easy to relate to.
I recommend this book no matter your age or background.

In June of 1984 two huge events occured. One being my birth, but the other not quite as great, as there was a serial killer on the loose in Cape May. Four 15 year old boys, who were like The Monster Squad meets The Hardy Boys, know that every serial killer is someone's neighbor, and they think their neighbor fits the bill. Unlike the kids on the milk cartons, Summer of 84 is not to be missed. Just as every 15 year old boy is excited about spying on the hot girl across the street and seeing her change clothes, you should be just as excited to see Summer of 84.
