Who is HE?
I don't want to give anything away. This is a deeply moving portrait of one half of a comedy duo and one of the most heartbreaking accounts of an inner human landscape I have read.

Although this novella doesn't really have a plot like a normal story, it is poetic and beautiful all the same.

On another note, does anyone know what Foxen is? I can't decide if he's a firefly or something closer to Calcifer from Howl's Moving Castle.

Meaty read but great characters
The language makes it quite hard going and it is a little slow paced at times however the mixture of feeling it stirs up for the characters is worth it especially the monster.

I really didn't enjoy this as much as Book 1. I felt like it was maybe a time filler? Not a lot happened that was really relevant to the journey and it just left me with unanswered questions, still moving on to Book 3 though.

"Renoir’s antiwar masterpiece . . . on everyone’s ten-best list. It’s a war movie filled with humanity, with paradox, with love, and with humor—and has great performances from Jean Gabin, Erich von Stroheim, Marcel Dalio, and many wonderful actors from Renoir’s stock company. Moving and uplifting."

"It’s difficult; I have so many. But moving right along, a French film, Queen Margot. I love the story, and I love the performances. Jean-Hugues Anglade plays the phenomenal character of this sort of sick, dying king. So that’s one of my favorites."

"An early Fellini masterpiece and a deeply engaging story about the triumph of the human spirit over adversity and betrayal. You will fall in love with Giulietta Masina. Her last scene is one of the most emotionally moving film sequences I have ever watched."
