The action continues in this the 5th instalment in the 14 book series. While there are somewhat less epic revelations or events than in the previous books, this keeps the story moving and some key interactions with the Forsaken occur.
I started to feel in this book that the action was being spread out a little, at a whopping 900+ pages the pace started to drag a little.

This story continues where the first book left off and I must say that I have fallen head over heels in love with the continuing story line. Superbly crafted, well written with characters that pull you in quickly and keep you wanting more. This is truly a beautiful and moving story. You cannot pass this book up as you will be missing out on the ride of your life!

Micah Ulibarri (79 KP) rated Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith: Burning Seas, Part II in Books

A very kinetic action-packed issue moving the story along. We get to see lots of these to make fans happy. Admiral Raddus and Ackbar as well as King Lee-Char. Lots of Vader doing whatever he wants. I was not hugely excited by the new Jedi reveal as it was a new character. Still liked the issue for the action but one of the flatter issues in the series.

Aquaman
This movie has done a wonderful job of staying close to its comic book roots. The visual effects are beautiful and believable. The storyline keeps it moving with a surprise near the end. Jason Momoa is absolutely perfect for this tough guy , coming of age, softie character. He knows what's important and fights to protect it. My 13 year old son who says he " HATES SUPERHEROES " loved this is movie.

This movie wasn't well received, however I really enjoyed it, the patterns and themes that pass throughout the story are clever, sublime and very moving at times as Ellie struggles with loss and the drive that consumes her every waking hour as she strives to answer one of the biggest unanswered questions, and those with closed minds try to stop her, listen to the many absorbing commentaries. Fascinating!

Mary and Joseph deal with the fallout of getting married despite the fact that Mary is pregnant. However, with the political forces in play, what danger might they face. This was a slow moving book. The fictional characters were interesting, but it wasn't enough to save the book.

Another amazing first read win! The note that came with the book said for ages 14-18 but it was such a real and moving story that I would recommend it to anyone. I felt Kai's pain, chuckled at some parts, and cried a couple times as well. Loss impacts everyone's lives at some point or another and this book shows how life can go on after loss.
