Chris Hooker (419 KP) rated Toychest in Books
Jan 12, 2018
[Toychest] by [Lance Milham] is an excellent debut novel from a young author. The characters are the main part of the story and they keep the plot moving at a good pace. The way he shows that evil people exist everywhere and even good can become evil is subtle. The idea that everything as consequences is throughout this novel. [Milham] has a very creative mind and I look forward to reading more from him.

Excellent documentary funny, heartfelt but honest.
I can truely say this was an excellent documentary regarding a talent that was genius. Tells of young Chris and how he adapted his way of thinking to create the great Frank Sidebottom and the internal conflict it created within the artist.
Its funny, moving and doesn't paint Mr Sievy to be an angel. It's a must watch for any fans of comedy.

Astounding
What an absolutely astounding accomplishment! The painstaking time and artistry on its own is stunning. Added to the thoughtful and gripping narrative, I could hardly tear my eyes away. I loved the technique of moving to black and white when the tale turned to the past. The beauty and realness of each character brought so much life to so much paint. It gives a whole new appreciation to the work of this master.

Lee and Joe are getting married, but getting Lee's mother to come to town is proving to be a challenge. It might have to do with a huge family secret. What does the past mean for the present? This was a fast moving book with plenty of twists and the usual great characters.

A woman Callie knows through a charity she volunteers with brings her into another mystery when the woman is accused of killing her boyfriend. Can Callie figure out what really happened? Another fast moving mystery that keeps the pages flying. The writing is still a little rough, although it is getting better.

Juddergirl (14 KP) rated The Greatest Showman: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Original Soundtrack / Various Artists in Music
Oct 25, 2018 (Updated Oct 25, 2018)
This is the greatest show...
Still singing the songs many months later! Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron both give outstanding performances, while the supporting cast of singers will make you laugh, sigh and weep. A feel good family musical with an uplifting message of acceptance and love - heard in every song on the OST. Powerful chords, moving lyrics and strong voices give these tracks the motivational sound I look for in a modern musical!

Heartwarming
This take of a tribal chieftain's son who sets out with his father to become a man is very moving. The acting was great(you'll need subtitles to understand what's being said). The imagery and cinematography were amazing. This young boy learns so much more than he bargained for throughout his journey- survival, responsibility, self-esteem and an unlikely friendship. This one is for the whole family. Really worth a watch!

I absolutely loved watching this story about a teenage lad with autism looking for a girlfriend. In fact I binge watched the whole of the first season in one sitting. You really fall in love with his family as they work together to support this wonderful young man achieve his goals. It is both funny and moving and gives you a real insight into the life of someone with autism. I reccomend it!

YES Taika! YES!!!! This film rates in my top films of this year! I enjoyed it thoroughly and had a fantastic time watching it! The acting in this film is so good! And it's really nice to see a comedy like this take on such incredibly hard source material and still manage to have a good ending and a moving plot. I cried in this movie and I am proud to say it!
