3.75 stars.
I was going to give it a 3.5 rating until that last 10% or so when we meet Abby's mum. She's crazy but it was fun reading so I bumped it up a little.
I'll admit it was a bit of a crazy story but it was written in such a way that I didn't want to put it down. Abby came across as a little nutty, but fun young woman while Brodie was this tough, brooding mercenary. It seemed unlikely that anything would happen but boy did it.
Reading their relationship happen was quite fun but I have to admit some of the story just seemed a little unreal.
Nevertheless I liked it.

This one was a lot happier than the first, they actually have a proper relationship, not the sneaking behind everyone's back kind of thing they had going on in the first. I am a little confused though as to whether their stories been concluded with this. I know there's a third book coming soon, Braille, but does it continue with Alex and Jesse or does it focus more on the band members?
I have so many questions after reading this too. What was wrong with Cord? Who was the girl? Who's Beth seeing?
Anyway, I'm glad that everything's out in the open regarding Ethan and Alex's parents abandonment. I still have no idea why they ran off and left her behind anyway, especially her dad. Her mum at least has an excuse.
Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated Jessie Hearts NYC (Hearts Series, #1) in Books

I was waiting for the romance to start and they only met after 170+ pages out of the 250. Okay, they were always in the same place at the same time and caught fleeting glimpses of each other but they only properly met then.
It was more a tale of family and relationships than a romance.
One thing niggled at me in this: The John Lennon bit. How would Jessie remember her mum being so upset over his death when it happened ten years or so before she was even born? Confused!
The thing with Ben, I'd more or less figured out before Jessie, it was the look in the lift that did it.
It was okay but not something I would normally have chosen to read. I more or less picked it because of the cover. It's very shiny and pretty.
Dean (6926 KP) rated Rambo: Last Blood (2019) in Movies
Sep 20, 2019
So back at the ranch we see him return to at the end of the last film, we find he has is playing uncle to a young girl and her mum who live there. After she takes a trip to Mexico she goes missing and it's up to Rambo to save the day. This definitely feels different to all the other Rambo films, more like a Taken plot with a girl needing rescuing. Overall its not a bad action film it just doesn't feel like a Rambo film. Let's just hope this is the last one.
