We follow Keira as she is getting a diagnosis of breast cancer, after always believing that she doesn’t get ill. We go with her as she battles her cancer as well as battling through the trials of every day life: being a mum, being a wife and owning a business. I really felt for her when things started to go wrong in different aspects of her life and felt her frustration when she felt that people weren’t being supportive or had started treating her differently.
Keira ends up speaking to a woman outside the hospital, who becomes one of her rocks throughout her treatment. Tamsin just happened to come along at exactly the right time for Keira, and together, along with two other women they meet along the way (Amma and Sian) they create the Cancer Ladies’ Running Club. The women go through so much together, all either going through treatment at the same time or having just finished treatment. They talk about how people have changed towards them and have their own personal rants about what is going on in their lives whilst all supporting each other.
I honestly didn’t want to put this book down and have loved every word of it. A definite 5 star from me!

Both Sloane and Jackson bump into each other whilst returning unwanted gifts in a longer than neccessary but pretty entertaining scene. They end up talking and hanging out at the mall, the idea of a holidate comes up which is something Sloanes aunty participates in in the holidays, meaning you get together with a random stranger specifically for a holiday, just a date with no commitments. Jackson gives sloane his number, at first she refuses to text him but after her mum tries to set her up with a guy she phones Jackson to arrange a no commitment holidate for new years. They get on well and have a good evening despite a dirty dancing inspired hilarious injury.
Fast forward to valentines, sloane is still dateless and once again bumps into Jackson who saves her from an awkward encounter with her ex. This is when they agree to be each others dates for every holiday.
As a lover of rom coms I really enjoyed this movie from beginning to end. Admittedly it was highly predictable but also highly entertaining, I howled with laughter multiple times.
Highly recommended.

There are already a lot of comments saying that this is like Twilight so I won't bother with any of that. All I will say is that although there are similarities, there are also big differences. This book actually made me shout out (much to my husband's delight and confusion) as Adri thought her mysterious benefactor was one person and I was shouting that it wasn't, it was someone else.
I really enjoyed this book and will be getting Torn which is the next book in the series. This is definitely one for me to continue reading but I definitely need to know Alec's side in this! If you like YA, Twilight, shapeshifters, then give this one a go. Recommended.

Oh, what a story. Poor Chess. I can completely understand where he was coming from. He's worked so hard to turn his life around, but sometimes the doubt resurfaces that maybe, just maybe, he doesn't deserve all the good things. As for André, he loves Chess completely but is swayed by his mum to be away from him more often than not. I loved it when he took a stand and said 'enough!'
The group of friends play a big part, as you would imagine. Elliot and Win are still my favourites, with Chess and André close behind. As I suspected would happen, Ms Stevens is changing my mind about Spencer, and Wolf has learnt his lesson.
A fantastic addition to the series, this book focuses on truth and honesty, sharing the highs and the lows. I loved every word and have no hesitation in recommending it.
