Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2570 KP) rated Murder on the Rocks (Gray Whale Inn Mystery, #1) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Natalie is fulfilling a life long dream by opening her bed and breakfast on Maine's Cranberry Island. However, she's hardly settled in when developers appear on the island looking to take over. Then a murder happens. It took me a bit to get into the book, but once I got a feel for the island, I was hooked.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2570 KP) rated The Past Tense (Diagnosis Murder, #5) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
The body of a woman washes up on the beach, but inside are pictures from Mark's first case. As he thinks back to what happened then, will it give him a clue about the current murder? This is an emotionally gripping book that really explores Mark's character in the new way. Highly recommended for fans of the series.

MoMoBookDiary (20 KP) rated Murder at Hawthorn Cottage (Melissa Craig #1) in Books
Oct 1, 2018
MoMoBookDiary enjoyed this murder mystery.
The first in the series on Melissa Craig. I am looking forward to reading book two next.
It is an ideal summer holiday (beach) read, with a writer-cum-sleuth trying to solve a murder which was committed in the vicinity of her new home - Hawthorn Cottage.
Set in a quaint little village - Ideal for fans of Agatha Raisin series
Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this cozy mystery..

Great Cast (1 more)
Good plot twist
A fun Mystery of many layers
A decent follow up film to @Knives Out (2019) 3 years later with Detective Blanc invited to a remote island for a Murder Mystery Game...or is it?
I liked the original although different to a typical Murder Mystery. This follows in a similar style of an all star cast of crazy characters brought together for a Murder Mystery Game that becomes too real.
Good plot and some twists and turns to keep you guessing. Maybe not quite as good as the original but very close and good fun, although Craig's accent is a bit annoying after a while. Definitely looks good on the big screen.
