I won this book from a Goodreads Giveaway and I ended up really liking it, I don't usually go for the detective-murder mysteries but this was a good read. I like the idea that it happens to also be a series, not sure if I'll continue to read about this detective but I liked this book.

Poe reborn
Although this is from a King novella it reminds me very much of Edger Allen Poe. A man kills his wife and is haunted by his decision. This dark and nasty and reveals the darkness inside murder.

In Darkness
Taboo is Tom Hardy's playground. Here he gets to explore the darkness inside him and play it out in character and of course he's excellent at it and completely compelling.

This is brilliantly directed and produced and attractive in the way we like to watch murder scenes in violent films. I can't wait for series two

"I love this morbid and mischievous book! The story traces how a man commits murder by indulging in his greatest obsession: his sense of smell. It’s about passion, desire and doing whatever it takes to experience perfection, in this case, the ultimate perfume. But does this all equal happiness? The book explores and uncovers the drive for the unattainable."
