The pope is coming to LA, and Madeline is catering the welcome breakfast. But while prepping, she finds a letter that seems to confess to a murder, and it sets her off on a mystery with ties to the past. Still my favorite in the series with a fast paced, twisty plot and such wonderful characters.

The Tri-County fair is in full swing and Hannah is acting as judge in the baked goods contest. But when her fellow judge is murdered, Hannah begins digging for clues. It's always nice to see these characters again. Hannah did get on my nerves when she wouldn't share clues with the police, however.

Several years ago, Hannah fell for a man named Bradford. Now he's back in town breaking more hearts until someone kills him backstage at a talent show. More of the same for this series, so if you enjoy the series, you'll like this book. A bit weak, but still plenty of fun.

The sixth Jaine Austen mystery finds Jaine agreeing to write jokes for an unfunny stand-up comic. But before she can get started, the woman is arrested for murder. The weapon, a pair of pantyhose. Definitely for those who love funny mysteries, this one will keep you laughing while you puzzle over the clues.

Dr. Sloan wakes up from a coma to find he's forgotten the last two years of his life, including his new wife. Will working on a mystery help him get his life back? The characters are great as always, but the plot just didn't quite work the way it was supposed to. Still entertaining.

The fourth of the Monk tie-in novels answers the question, What would happen is Sharona returned? His former assistant accidentally comes back into his life after her husband is arrested for murder. At Natalie's urging, Monk begins to look into it the case. This is another fun entry and will please fans of the TV series.

Now the murder victims in Bakerhaven are appearing with Sudoku and Crossword puzzles on them. Can Cora solve the latest case? The book was still fun, but I am getting very tired of the stories involving the main character's personal lives. It's been the same for several books now. Really time to move on.

Cora has a problem. One of her many fans is stalking her, but she doesn't know who it is. And when he turns to murder, things really get out of hand. As always, I found parts of the book laugh out loud funny while other parts were highly suspenseful. If only the endings were stronger.

Cora Felton has found herself involved in another murder when a Sudoku shows up on the body of a man poisoned at a boarding house in town. It's the usual verbal sparring and puzzles fans of the series will love. I was just bothered by one action Cora took part way through the book.

Polly Pepper has gotten a job on the next great reality show as a judge. But when another judge is murdered, Polly suddenly finds herself with a whole lot of suspects. The characters and plot are delightfully over the top in an "only in Hollywood" way. Wacky but lots of fun.
