So from the sound of Hangman starring Al Pacino and Karl Urban sounded great when I first read the synopsis for the movie, a decorated homicide detective Ray Archer (Al Pacino) partners with criminal profiler Will Ruiney (Karl Urban) to catch one of the city’s notoriously vicious serial killers, who is playing a twisted version of murder inspired by the children’s game Hangman. Every 24 hours, a body is hung revealing the next letter carved into the victim’s body.

Watched yesterday my second murder mystery movie of the month after see how they run not as good as that one but there was plenty to laugh at start to finish especially the running gag over Christian bales glass Eye plenty of good performances all around from the cast even an appearance from taylor swift only in at the beginning of the movie sets the plot up. I only started watching this in 2024, when I was looking for something to scratch that 'Elementary', 'The Mentalist', 'Ludwig' itch.

This came before all of the above - indeed, it is easy to see many similarities in them all with, here, the ex-cop Monk afflicted with a severe case of OCD (made worse following the off-screen death of his wife, before the series began) but still able to solve many murder mysteries due to his powers of observation.
