Favourite TV Series
This has to be one of my all time favourite television series. The story follows Ned, a man who can bring the dead back to life. But only for a minute. Any longer and something else has to die in their place. If he touches thelay person/thing again, they will die again. Forever.

This is all well for the private investigator, Emerson Cod who accidently discovered Ned's abilities. The two of them solve crime and split the earnings between them.

However, one day Emerson and Ned are given the task to find out who murdered a woman on a cruise. The women just so happens to be Ned's childhood sweetheart Charlotte Charles. Can he keep her alive for only a minute? Or will he succumb to his selfish want of needed company and love.

The series appears to be light hearted and playful. However, this contrasts with the darkness of what is actually happening. Two men solving murder mysteries.

It is humorous and playful, often using metaphors and quirky language in the characters dialogue. Overall, it is a refreshing watch compared to other television series. I highly reccomend if you like lighthearted romance, murder mysteries with laugh out loud humour.

Absolutely innovative and intriguing listening
Listened to on Audible.co.uk.
Listening to a murder mystery about a murder mystery was as intriguing as listening to a book about a book. A total reinvention of classic Agatha Christie type tale revamped for the modern reader. Is it guessable? One of the mysteries is, but the other solved by fictional PI Atticus Pund was definitely more of a mind bender. It leaves you analysing clues in the same way the narrator tries to do. As an Agatha Christie fan, I was hooked.

Well read and written by the literary genius that is Anthony Horowitz.

The Mysteries of Udolpho is commonly known as the first 'Gothic Novel', and is cited in Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey. I wish that in British Literature/HS European Literature classes in the USA taught this instead of Jane Eyre.
This book is very long, which may seem daunting, but I believe it's worth it. I enjoy Radcliffe's writing style as well. You can really see why this book is used as a template for many gothic novels/films, like Crimson Peak.
Again, this won't be to everyone's taste, but if you like classic literature, I consider it a must-read.

i used to love the old style adventure games like Myst, Riven and Schizm and this definitely reminds me of these. Its a clever concept where a young boy get washed up on an island and sets out to find out what mysteries the island holds. A lot of puzzle solving that involves moving objects, lining them up, jumping, climbing and also collecting items and artifacts. Its a beautifully designed game with haunting music and a wonderful and colourful setting. I love it and i would recommend it to those that like puzzle/adventure games

A grim, captivating portrayal of mental decay (4 more)
Bone-chilling soundscape creates an oppressive sense of dread
Expert storytelling leaves its mysteries for you to solve on your own
Voice recognition option adds to the game's immersive qualities
Scares are subtle and don't rely on overused jumpscare tropes
Movement is a bit clunky, temporarily breaking the immersion (0 more)
Prequels run the risk of diminishing the magic of the stories they lead into, but The Inpatient is a rare exception that entirely manages to avoid that.

Percy Jackson's world seems to be a target for weird creatures. Then he discovers why. The old Greek gods are real, and one of them is his father. At times, it does feel like a Harry Potter rip off, but there are some pretty fresh twists as well. I completely enjoyed it. And I discovered I've had one of his mysteries on my shelf for a while now. It's moved up my to be read list.

This book wonderfully wrapped up the series.

All of the big mysteries and questions were answered in this book and the series was ended very well. The wonderful authors even had an ask any questions session on their Facebook page for any unanswered questions that were left over.

This book even introduces even more new characters, at first I was a bit hesitant however it became apparent that they were important to the story and the explanation of the Talented.

Overall I have fully enjoyed this series and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys paranormal YA books.
