Don't think this series will get anything under 5 * from me it's so unique and cool it seems at some points to mix myths and legends all with a summer camp that all sounds like so much fun - I truly need to be Ripleys friend in real life . amazing

Booze and legends
Listen to myths and legends presented and analyzed by two amazing hosts, with a smattering of feminist and queer theory applied to everything from Tarot to selkies. I can't recommend it enough. Plus, urban legends from listeners, native sources for native stories, and drink recommendations! Spirits is absolutely amazing.

"One of the most beautifully told family sagas in world literature. Exploring gender identity, ethnic identity, American dream, immigrants, family memories and collective myths… but to me this is primarily a novel about belonging—how we fail but still somehow find the hope and the will to continue to try to belong."

Stephen Fry's straight re-telling of the various Greek Myths, in more-or-less chronological order (well, as much as they can be!), starting from the Titans and going right up to Midas, leaving (I assume) Jason and the Argonauts, or the siege of Troy for future instalments.

A bit like Neil Gaiman's Norse Mythology, in other words.

I don't think this movie was as bad as people say. I quite liked the fantasy side added to the Tom Raider kind of feeling. Now don't get me wrong, I didn't expect to see some of the characters we encounter in the movie....AT ALL. But still, if you're into fantasy / Egyptology / Myths, I think you could give this a go.

This book was very interesting. You don't have to buy into the whole Jungian interpretations to enjoy it. Some of it resonated with me, and some of it didn't, but, as a literature major, I found it fascinating, and I loved the myths/stories alone. I gave it four stars because it was too repetitive at times for my liking.

A short and sweet book, but I would have been happy to read more! These are very human Gods: Thor seems rather challenged in the brain department, and Loki is the annoying child at the party (or anywhere!).
This is the complete opposite to the Marvel movies (neither a good or bad thing), and I feel it's more faithful to the original myths (go figure!). Thoroughly recommended!

Fascinating
I found this series on Amazon. It's a collection of stories about real historical incidents that took place that sparked the life of some of mankind's legends and myths. Very interesting and thought provoking look into our past as humans and how things(like science and beliefs) have changed over the centuries. With a watch if you are into documentaries told with actors, animation and art!
