Refreshing addition to the series
Quick to throw you into the story. The creators use every angle to their advantage from story to the adantage of being a Netflix original. The main character is very likable which helps move the story along. The action is great, fast and bloody. The season is short but it quickly got renewed for a 2nd season, so I will be eagerly waiting for the next chapter.

Groundhog Day on Steroids
Ever felt like you're doing the same thing over and over again, but can't remember when? Yeah, that's this movie. You don't even get time to blink, it's simply straight into action, again and again. Surprisingly, you don't feel like the repetition is getting old. A fast paced, thrilling ride, right to the very end. Plus it's Stephen Amell's cousin so he's very easy on the eyes :p Not bad for an Netflix Original.

Not a huge fan of Martin Freeman but he is great in this little movie about a family just trying to survive a strange virus that puts people into a zombie like state, cinematography is very good and you generally feel for him as he falls victim to the virus then struggles to re home his young daughter before he "turns"
Solid performances from the many small name actors, we need more like this from Netflix.

Instead of doing a review for every season I'm just going to review this series as a whole. I loved it. It was funny. It had action. It was easy to to get sucked into the Hamptons life. I'm a big binge watcher of Netflix, so this is literally one of the last big series I haven't watched yet and it was awesome. If you love medicine, drama, mystery, or romance, I promise you will love this show!!!
Jenni (8 KP) rated Thirteen Reasons Why: (TV Tie-in) in Books

Read this on holiday after watching Season 1 on Netflix. As an avid reader, I usually enjoy the book more than the movie/tv show as it has more details, more story, but in this case I didn't enjoy the book as much as the show. I just didn't get the same feeling from the book. It might have been different if I'd read the book first, but I don't know what was different this time.

A Netflix original starring Michael Pena and Lizzy Caplan. This movie was excellent. The cinematography, the acting, the special effects. All great. The story unfolds fairly quickly with a really fascinating twist to it that really catches you off guard. This sci-fi action thriller is intense. There's violence but this movie is ok for kids too. I highly, HIGHLY recommend it! Even if you're not a huge fan of sci-fi, you can appreciate and enjoy this film.
Dork_knight74 (881 KP) rated Hereafter (2010) in Movies

This movie is on Netflix right now. It's not a fast paced movie. It touches on the death and the afterlife and its affect on three peoples' lives. Each in a different way. Turned out to be pretty good although it's not my usual kind of movie. The acting was done well and the story, though slow going, kept my interest. The ending was a little predictable but it didn't matter to the overall storytelling. Worth a watch!

This Netflix original turned out way better than I initially thought it would be. The description doesn't do it justice. The cast did great and the film work was very good. The story moved along at a decent pace and it was full of humor and emotion. Warning - this movie might yank a few tears out of you. Especially if you're a parent. Good for the whole family, though. I highly recommend it. Really worth a watch.
Tina (8 KP) rated Deathnote (2017) in Movies
Aug 28, 2018 (Updated Aug 28, 2018)
Deathnote, a Netflix original. I would recommend however it was not what I had expected. I wanted the demon to be more scary and the ending was anticlimactic. Was not pleased with that. I liked the dark humor in it and the slight plot twist in the end. There wasn't much gore at all and that was disappointing to me. But if you're looking to get into the horror scene this is a great starter film!

An addicting Hulu original
Contains spoilers, click to show
The costumes and scenery in this show are pretty lovely. I love the storyline of 2 feuding brothels and the shenanigans of the harlots that live (and work) in them. The story is never low on action, although I do find one or two of the plots to be a bit too dramatic. But that's to be expected from a Hulu original. The show is as good as a Netflix show in my opinion.
