Interesting
A decent Netflix film part thriller mainly drama as a journalist for a New York based magazine is pursued for her account of an incidental that happened at her university years ago.
It's a good story based on a best selling book. Quite raw and gritty at times but also maybe has too many scenes around fitting in with the social elite and very rich. Didn't really deliver the ending it felt it was building up to.

A few unresolved questions
Sank without trace
This low budget film seemed ok from the trailer. A perilous situation thriller a bit like Fall on Netflix but this time under the sea as a diver becomes trapped in a remote location. The drama and suspense just ran out of steam quite early on or just short of ideas. Some flash backs about the family set up left more questions than answers. Ok if nothing else is on.

What may, could possibly and will definitely maybe happen...
A Netflix produced catastrophic disaster movie following two average astronomers who discover a comet the size of everest hurling its way towards earth.

Making their way around parts of the US and making appearances on multiple news outlets, they divide the nation (and possibly the world) in an hilariously and eye opening obvious kind of way.

Save the world or don't save it, surely the choice can't be that difficult right America???

I have seen very good movies on Netflix and I have seen very bad movies on Netflix. This one lands somewhere in between. The overall plotline of the movie was good to me. A girl from one sorority is charged with helping another flailing sorority by teaching them how to "step" as they call it, and clear up their name. If the girl succeeds in helping them she gets a recommendation to Harvard Law. However, along the way she faces many difficulties, obstacles, and choices that help her come to realize that maybe she isn't living the life she wants afterall. This movie uses college situations and sorority ideals to delve into societal and racial issues that we see in the world today. At some points the arguments got kind of hazy and confusing, but overall the message remained clear. Putting aside racial boundaries and focusing on strengthening each other can form a bond between the most unlikely people. Sure this theme is a little played out, but nonetheless I enjoyed the movie. The music was a great addition and the cast performed very well. The overall comedic factor was great as well. Not the best of movies, but definitely worth the watch if you are interested. *If racial issues and arguments offend you i would be cautious while watching this movie. While it is not a serious movie at all, i do feel that stereotypes were made and used throughout that might trigger some people. While i do not support such stereotypes, I do feel like this movie was still an alright movie that some people may enjoy watching.

Interesting, if not a tad frustrating
I'll start off by saying I love Louis Theroux and his documentaries. I've yet to see a bad one and this is no exception, even if the subject matter is very frustrating.

I tried to watch the Tiger King series on Netflix and had to turn it off as the animal welfare side made me so angry! However I had to watch this to see how Louis tackled the issue. On the whole, as with all Louis docs, this is a rather stark and honest (yet brief) portrayal of these people with dangerous wild animals as pets. He does his usual mild mannered Englishman act to gain their trust and then throws out the pressing awkward questions we all want answers to. This in no way glamorise or play up these people like the Netflix doc seemed to do. I will admit that after having seen parts of the Netflix doc, I don't believe that Louis goes far enough. He could've pushed the questions and animal welfare issues a lot more and I think he really should've done.

Over here there are many people who criticise our zoos due to animal welfare, but i can really appreciate the conservation efforts of local zoos now especially when you compare them with the absolute craziness that goes on in the States. I mean no offence to any American friends, but only in the USA can people get away with owning wild animals like this as pets. It's disgraceful, and I wish this documentary had gone further to push these issues.

Good, but....
This film was a good watch

It had a good story, good action, good acting, but there was a torture scene which could have been better acted in my opinion

But the only problem with it was it was called American Assassin, and I don't think there was an assassination in the film, there was a lot of killing, but not what I call an assassination

But it was enjoyable, but I've seen better

I would probably wait till it's on Netflix or something

Watched all episodes in one go - it was that mindblowing
I wondered what all the hype was about until I started watching this gripping true crime documentary series on Netflix. After the first episode, where it seems like a slightly average episode about the death of a nun, I did think what the deal was, until the second episode and literally shouted at the TV screen. The claims are explosive and jaw dropping. If you loved Making A Murderer, then this is definitely worth a watch.

I’m chilled by the sensational dystopian sci-fi thriller Snowpiercer (2013), now streaming (finally) on Netflix UK
While it works well as a dystopian action thriller, it’s a much more complex and layered film than it may appear at first glance. There are moments of comedy (both light and pitch black), subversion, searing social commentary and shocking violence and although the film isn’t afraid to wear its bleak, nihilistic heart on its sleeve, it does so without alienating or disengaging the viewer....
