Dean (6927 KP) rated Transformers (2007) in Movies
Feb 20, 2018
Just what you want from a blockbuster film. Great action all the way, amazing SFX and a fair share of humour. The effects are just breathtaking, not felt like that since I watched The Matrix! It has a very simple storyline and as a fan of the toys, animated movie it would have been nice to see more of the other Transformers characters. Overall though it's a brill blockbuster that will thoroughly entertain you!!

Learned more here than I did in my High School Spanish class
As someone that has always had a difficulty with learning languages, it is nice to find a way that challenges me and keeps me involved. Duolingo is a game that helps you learn - a learning tool that feels like a game.

Dean (6927 KP) rated The Sorcerer's Apprentice (2010) in Movies

An entertaining family adventure film most will enjoy. It is big budget and that shows in the amount of CGI effects, but at least they do look good. Not particularly original, it does pay homage to Disney's Fantasia at one point which was a nice touch. Kinda reminded me of the films I enjoyed when I was younger like The Neverending story. Fun for all ages if falling short of a classic.

Definitely 100% leaps and bounds better than Pirate King - however, there were a bunch of spelling/grammar errors that just drove me insane. The story overall was amazing - it was a unique take on a siren - I have never read something like that before. There was a lot of mayhem and it was very exciting, though a lot of it was predictable it was still entertaining. Definitely a nice way to finish the series.

Large user base (1 more)
Relatively good at learning what you like to recommend books
With smaller books forces reviews to change their reviews to be less critical (1 more)
Found a few of my reviews have been removed with no notice
Not the first place I will do for book reviews
Overall it is a nice review platform, I would not stake my opinions on a book from what it says, but use it as one resource.

This is amazing. It really gets you invested in the characters, the dog is so adorable, and the story is nice.
I like to stop half way, because then it is just a feel good family movie, and I will not bawl my eyes out

Sonofdel (6291 KP) rated Acts Of Vengeance (2017) in Movies

Nice twist on the usual action films
A film about a smart mouthed defence lawyer whose wife and daughter are murdered. Its a revenge thriller with a difference. Instead of shouting his mouth off Antonia Banderas vows to remain silent until the killer or killers are brought to justice. No army training or previous fighting experience, just a lawyer wanting revenge. A good supporting cast makes this well worth a watch.
Lizzi Lewins (73 KP) rated the PlayStation 3 version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in Video Games
Jan 9, 2019
I have spent 100's of hours on this game and still haven't done everything! From the start you are thrown into an immersive story line and whilst some of the quests can be a little repetitive the game is still enjoyable. It's also definitely worth getting the DLC, plenty more to explore and it's nice to just spend an evening building the perfect manor house if you don't fancy doing quests.
I love this series. It features former child star Jupiter Jones and his friends, Bob and Pete.
Jupiter decides to form a detective agency and puts Kristin Amanda Thomas to business shame by tricking his way into a meeting with Alfred Hitchcock, who is looking for a haunted house to shoot a movie in.
There are some nice creepy moments here and the friendship between the boys is a lot of fun.

ANASTASIA ...IN SPAAAACE!
I really liked this one! The world-building was fascinating. The characters are great. I adored Capt. Siege.
The only problem is a Robb problem and this is where we get into nice vs. kindness. Robb is...okay. He's not an actively offensive character but he just reacts to things, which makes perfect sense for his character BUT with other students check dynamic characters this really stood out to me.
