Erika (17789 KP) rated The Most Dangerous Animal of All in TV
Mar 14, 2020
Crime documentaries are, by far, my favorite programs to watch. Last week Hulu released FX on Hulu, and this was the first non-fiction show from FX.
It's a nice, tight, four episode series about a guy who tracked down his birth mother, and subsequently his father, who he believes is the Zodiac Killer. It was completely engaging, and the evidence was compelling.
To avoid spoilers, I have to stop there. It's well worth the watch and I highly recommend it.

Not as funny as you think it is going to be.
Saw this listed onNetflix as one to watch and apparently it rated number 3 in the list - how??. Watched the trailer and thought this might be a nice film to giggle along too to help pass the time, don't think I giggled once although my mouth might have twitched. Yes the story line was alright and this could happen at any wedding, an hour later I have probably forgotten most of it.

LeftSideCut (3776 KP) rated Superman: Man of Tomorrow (2020) in Movies
Feb 27, 2021
After the first 15 minutes, I was convinced this was going to be 90 minutes of Clark Kent being a little bitch and being called 'kid' by everyone. Turns out it's actually 90 minutes of Superman, Lobo, Martian Manhunter, and a Godzilla sized Parasite smacking the shit out of each other, and it's pretty great.
Really nice animation, a decent voice cast, and an interesting alternative take on the early days of Superman's career. Not much to grumble about with this one.

Kristina (502 KP) rated Maybe Now (Maybe, #2) in Books
Dec 7, 2020
I read the majority of this story on Wattpad but never continued after Colleen finished it. I bought the book and it sat on the shelf for a long time, me having forgotten that I never read until the end. I'm glad I waited, because it was nice delving back into the world of Sydney and Ridge, as well as experiencing the emotional growth of Maggie. Colleen always has me tangled up in my feelings and I never, ever get tired of it.
Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated Rock the Beat (Black Falcon, #3) in Books

Liked this
Its been a few years since I read books 1, 1.5 and 2 in this series so I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get into it but I did. I enjoyed reading more of the Black Falcons members romances. I liked Trip and Holly and the storyline was different to a lot of other rock star books.
It would be nice to finish the series with Tyke's book to see who manages to capture his attention and heart.

Board Game News (72 KP) rated Glass Road in Tabletop Games
Jan 11, 2021
Fast gameplay, you can play this in 30 minutes, which is rare for a Uwe Rosenberg game. (3 more)
Awesome quality of the components.
Nice artwork.
The aspect of choosing cards is extremely fun.
The rondels might confuse new players and makes the game kind of hard to teach. (1 more)
The buildings are a bit "meh".
This is the best under-an-hour game by Uwe Rosenberg in our opinion, but it got its flaws.

Dean (6927 KP) rated The Grudge (2020) in Movies
Jan 31, 2021
Decent cast (1 more)
Good cinematography
Not scary (2 more)
Predictable jump scares
Poor direction
Another Grudge
We really don't need yet another film in the Grudge series. Another re-boot that offers nothing new. The usual predictable jump scares mixed with an odd feel. At times it felt more like a detective drama than a Horror film, but it just doesn't fit. It does look nice at times, the detective film vibe sections at least, but it's a waste of a good cast.
Kristina (502 KP) rated Buttons and Pain (Buttons, #3) in Books
Dec 7, 2020
Buttons and Pain ended on a note so sweet, it could have soothed any craving for the rest of the day. I was a bit surprised by how happy the ending was, but I can't say I'm disappointed. So many important things happened in the course of these three books that the changes in Crow were both quick but welcome. Their story was long and full of drama, so it was nice to see things work out the way they did.
