So I didn't realise this was set in Australia, it made a nice change from American stories, though the names for some items had me guessing for a short while

I enjoyed the storyline but it also kinda annoyed me in a way. I got a lot of where Tess was coming from with Toby but I don't think I agreed with the Sean bit. It was a change once more from the usual conflict in these sort of stories...But nope. Sorry.

I liked this. It made me laugh in places and i loved the banter between them. I think this is the first YA book I've read where the entire book is from the guy's perspective. It was different for me and i have to admit that i liked being in Brody's head. He's such a nice guy.

As for Hayley. She seemed like a great character from the beginning and i can truely see why Brody fell for her. They make a really cute couple.

This didn't end, the story didn't conclude, which makes me think it's some sort of serial...which has annoyed me a little.

Not enough really happened in this for me to really like it, though i wish Ayden had just gone for it with Lyric a lot sooner than the last 50 pages or so. I'm not sure if I'm interested enough in the characters and the storyline to continue the series but it was nice to see Ethan, Lila, Ella and Micha again.

WHOA! That was one heck of an epic tale. it was nice to see everything come full circle. A perfect bridge between films, it reveals small things relevant to the second film while hinting at the bigger picture. My one and only problem was the addition of the lesbian blacksmiths, they were just kind of there, like "Hey representation" and when I thought they were going to help resolve the conflict it was Olaf who helped instead.

Still, it was an immensely enjoyable book.

"The first album I had bought for me was ‘Sgt Pepper’s…’, but the first I bought for myself was ‘Nice Enough To Eat’, an Island sampler. As kids, we could never afford albums so everyone bought this, it was cheap – 99p. They were all quite hip groups – it had ‘21st Century Schizoid Man’, my first exposure to King Crimson, and ‘Time Has Told Me’ by Nick Drake. At the time being a Nick Drake fan was a very lonely life, but I was always into him.”"

Defending Your Life (1991)

"I always mention this but no one goes out to see it. I love this idea of courage and that’s what gets you to the next level. I think Meryl Streep — who’s always good — it was so nice to see her as just a person and not a refugee who had to make a choice between her two children or whatever it was. No accent, no anything, just sort of Meryl Streep being sexy and being Meryl Streep. You’re not used to seeing her that way."

"If you were ever bullied, as I was, you probably dreamed of being a little French boy who had a magical red balloon that, together with all the other balloons in Paris, would pick you up for a trip above the city to a place far away. You didn’t? I didn’t really either. I actually wanted a gun, but this nice little movie was a safer fantasy. If you are being bullied, by the way, it’s clearly a mistake to hold on to your balloon."

Into the deep
A decent Sci-Fi, Horror set at a deep sea drilling station at the deepest part of the Ocean. It's a mix of a few films really, similar in ways to Alien and mostly @The Abyss (1989) plenty of action without much of a detailed plot. The SFX are OK although some scenes are very murky to make much out. If you are a fan of similar films this is worth checking out.

I don't think the author stuck to Kain's original bad arse-ness enough. To start with he was this arrogant arse that was hot but likeable and then by the eighth or ninth chapter he was all nice and gentle and wanting more from her. It lost my interest a little when that happened. The rest of the story didnt really pull me in either apart from the family turmoil when Lulabelle? came back after ten years away.

I don't think I'll be continuing the series.

Cute
I don't know what else to say about this film other than it was cute. I thought the animation was nice and the soundtrack wasn't half bad, but the characters were annoying. Honestly, the robin was the best part because she just cooed. I didn't think Charming was all that interesting or attractive (lol) and it was even more odd to hear Wilmer Valderrama and Demi Lovato feign love, especially as exes.

Also, I'm surprised they got the licensing to use Disney characters. Anyway, cute.
