No Filter by Heather Day Gilbert
This was a nice laid-back mystery. I do not often read cozy mysteries as they do not seem real to me, however, after reading the synopsis for this one I was intrigued! I mean who does not like dogs or coffee? This is the first book in Heather Day Gilbert’s new Barks & Beans series, and I am already hooked.
I enjoyed this book from beginning to end, the way the story unfolded was believable and interesting. I liked the characters and getting a glimpse into their lives that I am sure will continue in the next book. They were people I can see myself being friends with. I am looking forward to reading the second book in this series to see what comes next

A well written story that pulls you into another world..... literally.
To say the book focuses on and around teenagers it's anything but aimed purely at young folk. If it hadn't have been for references to age I would have spent most of the book thinking I was reading about early twenty-something's.
There's plenty of magic and fraught situations that had me almost holding my breath and wishing that I could perform magic.
I enjoyed journeying with Porter (The Gatekeeper's son/future Gatekeeper) and his cousin Ames. It was nice seeing how each of them grew throughout and gained a better understanding of each other and themselves. Especially learning self belief and trusting their new friends.
A good fantasy that will keep you and your mini mes entertained and enthusiastic for an adventure.

I was really unimpressed with this.
I'd already stared to lose interest in the series with it being dragged out for so long but Emmy and Cyrus's story was fun and a nice break.
Then this one dragged us back into the same turmoil that had been around since the third book. It felt too much of the same as the previous books and my interest waned like it did in book 4. I pressed on but skipped entire paragraphs as I just wanted the finale--the final showdown--with Staviti to happen and it took all of 2%, if that. I was expecting storms, eruptions, fights to the death, deceit. We got nothing of the sort.
I was disappointed.
I just gave up and skimmed the epilogue.

Hmmm...well firstly: America did my head in in this. The way she was blaming Maxon for things he had no control over? I wanted to smack her a few times until she saw sense. He isn't King yet, he cant tell his dad what to do! Ugh! So annoying!
As for Maxon, he may have done things I didn't like in this with regard to the other girls in the Selection but as he pointed out numerous times; he needed a back-up in case America chickened out, so I don't blame him one bit.
And as for Aspen, he annoyed me too. Interfering bugger!
I really hope America gets her act together so she can be The One that Maxon chooses but if not Kriss seems like a nice enough girl...

So I started this yesterday and probably spent a good six, more or less, straight hours reading it and finished it a little after midnight last night.
I loved that everything worked itself out; feelings, rebels, friendships. I was just sad to see so many characters end up dead :( Some I was sad about and some not to much.
And as much as I love that Maxon and America got together in the end and that they had some lovely scenes together, like the one on the roof
still managed to drive me a little mad with her words and actions in regard to him.
Nevertheless I really liked the story and it was a nice ending to the series. I look forward to reading more books by the author :)

Plenty of action
Great to have a Marvel film back
Great to have Marvel back on the big screen. While not quite an origin story, we do get to see the Black Widows early years as a child at the start. Most of the film is set around the Civil war film in the time line. While on the run her past catches up with her.
The cast is very good and David Harbour is good as the Red Guardian. Russia's answer to Captain America. He generally has most of the funny moments in the film as well.
The action scenes are great and Sfx look great. Nice to have a blockbuster film to enjoy in the cinema again.
The credits are about 6 minutes long and there is a scene after them.

was very pleased to be a selected winner of this cd was a band I did not know so was interested to give it ago the cd cover its self was a bit Dull could have been more captivating. When I started to go through the cd at the start of each of the 5 songs on the cd the beat and band instrumentals were very good and nice to listen to. How ever I found the mixture of the music and the lyrics/vocals together to be very hard to listen to. However this is not my usual kind of music so scored at 7 mainly due to being a freebie and the music. But if it was on lyrics and vocals would definitely be more like 3 or 4.

Overall interesting Thriller
Finally watched this after hearing about it quite a bit. An enjoyable thriller about a stalker who kinda inserts himself into the lives of women he takes an interest in.
Done with a similar narration style as @Dexter - Season 1 to the viewer. It was fun in some episodes, with a fair amount of humour to it. You shouldn't like the main character but you view things from his perspective, and he comes across as the nice guy. The ending was a bit of a disappointment for me and felt rushed compared to the rest of the series. Not exactly gripping, I got through about 30 episodes of Dexter by the time I did all 10 of this. Entertaining if not a classic.

Colleen always gives me ALL the feels! I felt so connected to Beyah, it was eerie. I love how Colleen makes her characters so relatable. Beyah and Samson didn't feel like teenagers (I'm aware Beyah was 19, but the amount of stories I've read about people that age who act like they're 15 is ridiculous) and it was nice to read about mature people and adult situations. Granted, their maturity is due to the tragedies they've faced and hardships they've endured, but it was still a relief for me. I felt every single emotion in this book, so deep, I felt like my own heart bone broke right along with Beyah's. I've said it before and I'll keep saying it so long as it's true: Colleen never disappoints!

Thank you! I'm so glad Courtney decided to write a novella from Olivia's point of view. Perhaps I'm the only one who hadn't figured it out, but for the life of me, I couldn't understand the connection between Dare and the Savage family. I mean, I knew Richard was his stepfather, but I didn't know how they all came to be together. It was nice to finally get that all straightened out, even if I do feel just as confused and crazy as I do when reading Nocte and Verum. One thing I am happy about: It's good to know that Olivia kind of went crazy on her own and not that Dare drove her crazy because he killed Richard when she was in the bed next to him.
