Dana (24 KP) rated Into The Still Blue in Books

Why did it have to end? I want more about them. This novel was amazing and it tied everything up nicely. I couldn't have asked for a better ending to a series. The relationships between the characters made me so happy. I want to know more about their lives after the ending. I would definitely recommend this to any of my friends. Thank you Veronica Rossi for the great adventure through the Aether.

This is world-changing and genre-defining
This story begins with one brighton boy reading Watership down,
This novel-based epic is a beautiful mix of crust and strings within a sort of ur-folk, which is hard to characterise to someone who hasn't heard it.
They make the subject matter leap at you with the slamming rifffs and souring melodies, anti-meat propaghanda never felt so good.

A fictional biography of Mark and his relationship with Peter. Unfortunately, it reads more like a biography of Peter, and much of Mark's life is whitewashed. Furthermore, the characters going from modern English to New King James to quote scripture (much less how much scripture is quoted) makes this novel laughable.

When Gus is knocked into a 24 hour coma, he awakes to find Shawn has a new friend. Tara insists she is Shawn's psychic slave. Could she be behind the things happening to Shawn's enemies? I loved this tie in novel. I laughed hard and the plot kept me guessing until the end.

After receiving a signed copy of this as a gift, I read throughout it without the knowledge it would become my favorite STP novel of all time. I don't know why it struck a chord, but Mau is amazing and the development of the story is so strong that it caused one of those 'Just one more' chapter nights to finish.

This was my first of this author's books, and I went in absolutely blind. I chose the book randomly from the library and didn't realize it was a companion to another novel until I started digging into it. The story drew me in instantly and the set up was creative and gave the story an interesting flow. I really enjoyed this one and I plan to go on to read lock in!

I'm ashamed to say it's been years since I read a Michael Crichton novel, but what a way to jump back in! This book was better than I expected, somehow he managed to keep it interesting even though there wasn't a lot of action happening. The pacing was fast, although I thought the main character could have been a little more developed. All in all, this is a book I would definitely recommend.

The writing was good, the book definitely kept me entertained and I enjoyed the characters.
I will say that this novel dealt with a dark subject. This book does contain sexual assault, if you're easily triggered, you may want to evaluate if you can read this.
Normally I would give this book a 3 star but I was impressed with how anti-sexual assault this book was. That alone, earned it an extra star.

This book was magnificent. It's kind of like an adult Hunger Games mixed in with The Walking Dead, World War Z and The Road. No zombies, no vampires, no dystopian future but a very poignant look at human nature and dire circumstances. Although I am a bit tired of the time jumps that plague all current literature, these feel necessary and are almost a relief in cutting the tension at times. Great novel!
