Erika (17789 KP) rated Daughter of Chaos (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina #2) in Books
Sep 16, 2020
The second novel in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina takes place after the events of Part 1 of the television series. It's nice to have more details as to what happened concerning Nick and Harvey.
I'm a huge fan of the pairing of Harvey and Sabrina, so the whole Nick thing ultimately annoys me. I'll eventually watch Part 2 of the television show when I'm in the mood for it. Currently, not so much.

When Harry lost Gina because he cheated on her with a one-night stand, he got something else in return; a chance to learn how to be a real father to his young son, Pat. You can find out what I thought of Tony Parsons’s novel “Man and Boy” (the first in his Harry Silver series) in my latest book review on my blog now.

The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated Klotsvog in Books
Oct 7, 2020
3.5* If you’ve ever wanted to understand what the term “unreliable narrator” means, the story of Maya Abramovna Klotsvog, who lives in the USSR after WWII, by Margarita Khemlin is an excellent example. Told like a memoir, this novel translated by Lisa C. Hayden, seems simple but is very different. See what I thought about it in my #bookreview here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2019/08/23/but-that-is-not-my-point/

The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated The Beginner's Goodbye in Books

Tyler knows how to write not just about ordinary people, but ones who are flawed, so that we see their flaws through them far more vividly than the people around them. This short novel focuses on loss and mourning and if there are things we find hard to believe that can become believable in certain circumstances.
