I received this book from Jar O' Marbles in return for a fair and honest review.

This is a short contemporary romance that nevertheless manages to convey the whole build up to the romance plus the anguish that Jack has lived through. There is depth to this novella which usually is missing due to the nature of the book. Somehow, Kate Austin has managed to give you their backstory, and how their relationship developed, plus Jack's history, all in a few short pages. This made the story all the more enjoyable.

If I had one complaint, it would be that you didn't find out anything really about Kara's creepy ex-fiance and family but that isn't really relevant anyway. That's just me being nosy.

Thoroughly enjoy this novella and although this story was wrapped up exceedingly well, was left wanting more from The Lake House. Highly recommended.

Even though this is a novella I think it was laid out very well and not rushed. Sarah Grace Grzy took the time to give background on the characters that really helped me feel like I had a vested interest in the outcome of the characters. It was a well-researched book in that facts were legitimate regarding the medical scenes and flashbacks that took place. I liked how both characters in this book were realistically flawed and that they acknowledged it and strove to do better. I also appreciated how Sarah Grace Grzy presented the gospel in this book.
I give this book a 4 out of 5 stars for the great story layout, relatable characters, and for the realistic dilemmas that the characters faced. This novella did not read like an author’s first work, but that of a seasoned veteran. I am looking forward to reading more by Sarah Grace Grzy.

Pendomus ( Pendomus chronicles book 1 )
By Carrissa Andrews
⭐️⭐️⭐️

A secret hidden in plain sight. A devastating attack. And a world hanging in the balance.

There are a lot of things I wish I'd known earlier - but three top my "wow, she was naive" list.

First, there are others on Pendomus. Second, a prophecy is in motion, and I hold the key to the survival of literally everything. Third, I'm being hunted by a madman who is desperately trying to wipe me from existence.

So yeah, no pressure.

I wasn’t sure for most of this book I feel like I missed a pre novella or something. It just plunges you in without any real idea of what’s happening. But as it goes on it’s worth sticking with the story has so much potential and is quite interesting especially towards the end. Worth sticking with I think.

Edit: there is a novella 0.5 called Tragectory

CURIOUS CAMERON is the first novella in the Secret Lives of Hot Twinks series.

The titular character, Cam, has been diagnosed with ADHD and dropped out of art school. His gay best friend, Trevor, is in the military and they married to help each other out. Now, you know it's not going to stay that way!

This is a novella so it moves very fast, especially once Cameron's curiosity kicks into gear. Trevor is happy to help, although I did like the scene where he had second thoughts.

A quick, fun, lighthearted read that is full of spice. A great introduction to the series and I hope to read more. Definitely recommended by me.
