With three full-length novels plus a Christmas novella that ties up those three stories nicely, there is plenty here to enjoy. Each couple became my favourite and each time, I was convinced no one could topple the couple before.
I really hope Glimmer gets his own story, and Alfie finds his way to the Hoskins! I am invested in these characters and the world they live in, and I can't wait to read more.
If you like Dragons, then you will absolutely enjoy this box set. Definitely recommended by me.

This certainly fills in the holes that Gillian has had in her 'memory', whilst giving the reader a front-row seat in their history. Exceedingly well-written, with characters that jump out of the page to you. With no editing or grammatical errors that I found, this is an excellent addition to the Hollow City Coven series, and definitely recommended.

Above all, Angel is a survivor and she will do whatever it takes to make sure that she does. Facing sorrow, loss and fear, she comes out fighting.
The first instalment of this sci-fi erotica series starts with a bang and is brilliant reading from start to finish. Definitely recommended for a short, hot read.

This story is based over a couple of weeks, but you still manage to be given all the information needed in a good way. There is no info dump here. Well written and with no editing or grammatical errors that I found, this was a short but steamy read that came to a satisfying conclusion. Definitely recommended.

The Party is richly atmospheric and descriptive. The post-war pub is lively, crowded and seems like a lot of fun! Post-war Bristol is described in such a way that I had no problem seeing the damage around the port and the pub as I read.
The contrast of the sisters is also interesting: Moira is worldly wise, Evelyn is young and inexperienced, which shows particularly at the mansion gathering. These people are clearly from a different social class to the sisters. At first, they’re not exactly welcomed by some of their hosts, but everyone warms up as the evening progresses - in a number of ways. It’s an entertaining evening!
Another enjoyable read from Tessa Hadley, and I’m reminded yet again why I’m always happy to pick up another of her books.
