Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart's last(?) (or so they say) outing as Wolverine and Professor Xavier respectively, this is a violent and bloody R-rated stand-alone that owes more to classic Westerns (in particular Shane) than to any of the other X-men movies to date.

Very loosely based in the Old Man Logan graphic novels, in that it follows an aging Wolverine in a future society following an undisclosed disaster, with that about all it takes from those stories.

The 13th book sees the return on Dickie Orr as a main character in the series. Maybe I shouldn't say return, Dickie has been mentioned & appeared in several of the previous PLum novels, but in this one he is front & center. Dickie is unknowingly involved in a drug smuggling, gun running, money laundering business that is fronted by his law firm. As usual Stephanie pulls herself into the mix in a strange way & eventually finds herself being chased by mafioso armed with flame throwers.

This was another good Steve Berry book. I have yet to read a book by Berry that I have not completely enjoyed. He never disappoints! I have to say though that The JeffersonKey was not his best book. Iovd that it was based in the U.S. and its history. It was afascinatiing story, but it took me longer to really get sucked ib to this story than it usually does with his novels. It is still a very satisfying, intriguing read and is not to be missed.
