Not too bad!
Pretty decent film, starts out not slow but a bit budget but soon picked up!
Standard horror film where a nurse downloads an app and finds out she doesn't have long to live, her her sister and a new friend all try to help eachother figure a way out and to survive the sister realises the one way to stop it all but it's still a fight to race against time. All with dealing with past and present issues, overall good film worth the watch!

OPEN MIND is the first book in the Kink Chronicles and we meet Jamie and Ronan. Jamie is 28 and has been a travelling nurse for the past couple of years but is now ready to settle down. Ronan has settled down but is in need of a new nurse for his specialised practice!
This story is an interesting mix of being sweet and full of kink! Different kinds of kink so if kink is your thing, there is probably at least one scene in here you will like. As for Jamie and Ronan, I kind of thought they were the perfect pair - once Ronan pulled his head out of his backside! Not every relationship is destined to be monogamous and so long as everyone agrees to that BEFORE anything happens, I'm okay with it.
This was an enjoyable book that moved along at a fair pace. I enjoyed the characters and look forward to reading more in this series.

Average Netflix Thriller
A bog standard thriller that seems to be a main staple with netflix nowadays.Mackie and Grillo deserve so much better given they have been in the MCU.The plot isnt up to much,convict (grillo) has evidence of dirty cops and has to find a way of exposing them with the help of his nurse (mackie) who has had his pregnant wife kidnapped by said convicts brother.
1 or 2 ok action scenes and a few car chases make this a passable but instantly forgettable film.

Madeline Whittier (Maddy) has SCID, an immunity disorder (think "bubble boy") that confines her to her home. Even stepping outside could kill her. Therefore, she lives alone with her Mom, limited to contact with her and her nurse, Carla. For most of her seventeen years, Maddy has been fine with this, until Olly and his family move next door. Suddenly, Maddy finds herself questioning everything about her life.
For me, this was a lovely and touching book. I fell head over heels for Maddy and Olly and their angsty, teen love. The book is fun, with the writing interspersed with Maddy's drawings and sketches (done by Yoon's husband). A scene with a bundt cake is priceless (trust me). Maddy's voice is fresh and it's interesting to "see" the world through her eyes -- as someone who hasn't been outside since she was a baby. The supporting characters are spare, due to Maddy's limited life, but I loved her nurse, Carla, and Olly. Maddy's mom is a formidable character, as well.
The book takes on a lot - Maddy's illness, domestic violence, teen love, mental illness - I think a lesser author could have easily stumbled. It's not perfect, of course, but I still found myself swept up in Maddy's life and story. It's beautiful, touching, and fun. Definitely a worthy read - one of my favorites that I read this year.

I don’t often review poetry, because I just don’t have the experience to do so effectively, I think. But I do like to read poetry, and listen to it being read. This book of poems centres around the poets lived experience - leaving the Philippines as an older teenager and coming to live in the UK with her mother, a nurse in the NHS, and the rest of her family. As it says in the title of the book, there is a real feeling of homesickness and guilt of having left family behind. The wish to hold on to her heritage comes across strongly as well. At the same time, Ante’s life and work as a nurse in the NHS is in many of these poems - the hard work, the racism she encounters and the care she takes of her patients.
I really enjoyed the glimpses into life in the Philippines, and I made good use of the ‘Boodle Fight of Words and Terminologies’, the notes and Google translate (it’s the linguist in me 🤷🏼♀️) It sounds like hard work, doesn’t it - but it wasn’t. This will be a book that goes on my poetry shelf (yes, I have one!) that I will revisit often, I think.

As someone who is prochoice and not religious, I could have lived without the "God doesn't want you to kill your baby bits". Other than that, the story was pretty riveting. I do wish that Maryanne would have gotten a rape kit done at the hospital. Like many women, she was too afraid and was afraid of having to give her history out to her coworkers (she was a nurse). I was also a little sad that we didn't find out who Emma's father was in the end. I have a sneaking suspicion that it was Barry's child, since he worked so hard to "get rid of the evidence".

Plot millionaire book write comiits suicide police suspect family of murdering him including the victims nurse is also suspect. Just seen the movie I liked it the plot was kinda confusing at first but after awhile I got it. Ana de Aramas is without a doubt a star in the making next to be seen in the new James bond movie with Daniel Craig so they have alot of screen time together. Anyway the rest of the cast is good as u wonder did they have a reason to see there father die. Highly recommended to anyone to see

The Uninvited- is a erry movie meaning its scary, terrorfying, chilling and spooky.
The Plot: After spending time in a psychiatric facility, young Anna (Emily Browning) finds significant changes in store at home. Her widowed father (David Strathairn) is now engaged to her mother's former nurse, Rachel (Elizabeth Banks). One night, the ghost of Anna's mother appears, screaming for revenge and accusing Rachel of murder. Anna and her sister, Alex (Arielle Kebbel), start to investigate, but they may be unprepared for the lethal battle of wills that ensues.
Both Emily Browning and Elizabeth Banks are excellent in this film.
A good horror film.
