Love the One You're With

Story revolves around Ellen -- recently married, her life turns somewhat upside down when her old flame, Leo (he of an "intense" past love) returns to her life. Keeping Leo a secret from her husband Andy (he of a "pleasant, stable" love), Ellen finds herself torn between the two and questioning the state of her marriage. Adding to her troubles is the fact that Ellen's best friend, Margot, is Andy's sister (and was not one bit fond of Leo).

Many books have been written on the "old boyfriend returns" subject and while Giffin's is nothing outstanding, she handles the topic convincingly, giving Ellen surprising depth. A quick and rather enjoyable read.

When Disney took over the Star Wars franchise in circa 2015, they threw all the old Expanded Universe stuff out.

Which is understandable, from a certain point of view.

This, however, meant they threw the good out with the bad - for my money, this series was one of the major losses of that decision.

Essentially, these books - based on the old X-Wing/TIE fighter video games - are Top Gun in space, and - IMO - are far more interesting than just about anything Disney has done since (including the 'new' Alphabet Squadron series).

Corran Horn himself is a major loss in the 'new' Disney films.

One of your must reads
It maybe an old book (mentioning the great American depression more than once) but the information will never go out of date. As I stated it's not a light read but you get a history lesson, a self help and business book all rolled into one. It should be on the list of must read books in your lifetime.

So. Many. Short. Stories.

Sometimes these kinds of weird, old school, random books really hook me, but I can't explain why. This is one of them. This story has the most simple of plot lines, yet it does so well to inflict fear and excitement into the reader.

I loved the writing. I loved the tension. I loved the plot. I loved the psychopath. I loved the ending.

Only watched the first two episodes and already improvement over season 2. season 2 was weak but so far so good with the plot new villian but same old issues for Jessica especially her sister Trish who maybe becoming hellcat from the comic books I hope so just hoping the rest of the season is just as good
