A new series from a favorite author left me a little cold. I didn't find it nearly as funny as his old books, and the mystery was weak. What's funny about this is the series centers around the owner of a comedy movie theater. Owner Elliot Freed investigates when a man is poisoned by his pop corn during the nightly double feature.

Bella moans and groans some more....if it weren't for this seriously lacking and annoying character these books would be so much more enjoyable without feeling constantly frustrated. I really like the werewolves and the Cullens are likeable but the 'thing' between edward and bella gets old very quickly, they just go on and on about the same thing over and over again until you just want to scream at them to get it together and stop wasting my time already!

Detectifying in the Old West Once Again
Cowboy brothers turned detectives Big Red and Old Red have started a new detective agency with Diana and her father, Colonel Crowe. There's just one problem, the lack of paying customers. So when they are hired to travel to DeBatge, New Mexico, and catch some cattle rustlers, Old Red reluctantly agrees to go even though it's not the kind of case he wants to take. With Diana tagging along, the brothers set out. However, when they arrive, they discover a town divided with tensions running high. The source of this powder keg? Their client. Then a dead body turns up, igniting the fuse. Can Old Red figure things out before the town explodes? Will the trio get caught in the crossfire no matter what happens?

I was so glad when I learned author Steve Hockensmith was writing a new adventure for these two cowboys. If you haven't yet had the pleasure of traveling back to the 1890's with them, you are in for a treat. The characters are wonderful. Since we don't have too many recurring characters, that leaves plenty of room for new characters, and figuring out if they are friend or foe drives so much of the plot. Yes, there is a mystery, and Old Red does a great job of figuring out what is going on. He was certainly several steps ahead of me. However, the added stress of the conflicts in town adds to the tension and puts Big Red and Old Red's lives in danger on a regular basis. The humor from the earlier books is still here as well and helps defuse the tension a little.

I bought this off Ebay a while ago, possibly even before my little girl was born. I am such a massive reader and so I think it would be amazing if my baby girl was to grow up loving books too, therefore I started early buying her lots of books. This is one of the better ones that I have shared with her, the content and the quality is great. The book is nice and sturdy with clean cut, safe corners and is bright and compact. This book allows children to learn to count whilst looking at shiny, glossy pictures filled with bright, beautiful colours. My 3 month old little girl is fascinated with this book and loves to touch and grab the pages.

Sixteen months after Britain voted to leave the European Union, the political debate over Brexit seems as intense as ever.

Publishers, writers and bloggers alike have not been slow to spot the market that the poison has created. Yet too many of the books and pamphlets that have been published since the vote amount to little more than a re-run of the same old arguments over whether to remain or leave.

Four recent works, though, do better than most at avoiding that trap.

All four books—written by economists, politicians and political scientists—largely avoid churning out the same old arguments:

Good female protagonist, plot a bit clunky
I was definitely looking forward to watching this as it's very rare to have a superhero film geared towards female characters instead of side parts. The story and dialogue unfortunately was a bit of a let down which tends to be the case with some comic books because everyone's speech was that of a 10 year old. A good start however. Definitely want to see the character of Nubia in the next film.

"If all the other books on my list were taken away, the one that would accompany me to the desert island is this small book of inspired poetry by the great Bengali man of letters, Tagore. When translated into English, it won him the Nobel Prize in 1913 and made him an international celebrity. Gitanjali turns the spiritual life into a love affair between the poet and God, a theme that is thousands of years old. In my heart of hearts, I wish I was Tagore."

I love to read to escape life, and K.L. Shandwick pulled me from my everyday boring life with the book Ready for Flynn. Valerie meets Flynn when her brother brings him home from college for Thanksgiving, the problem is she is 15 and Flynn is 20 and they both have instant chemistry. At first it creeper me out with the age difference, but I decided to keep with it, and man I was so glad I did. It was a story line I have never read before and I mean never! What a breath of fresh air! Sometimes I read books and think I will never get that time back I spent reading books, but I couldn't put it down. I hope this helps you guys make a decision about spending whatever time you have to read this and know your time won't be wasted on the same old same old and just set back and enjoy! https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/RADSIGJGWS3B4/

Welcome back to the world of the shifters of Kadenburg. This story continues to delight as you revisit old characters and welcome in new ones. The bears of Kadenburg come to realise that their 'little' problem with Breslin is actually larger than at first thought. The twists and turns that will take you through the story keep it fresh and exciting. There is a bit of everything in this book - humour, new romance, old romance, mystery, intrigue, and action. It really does have it all.

If you are a fan of shifter books then I can highly recommend this series. Just one thing though, beware the cliffhanger ending!

WOW…. This book is way above a 5star read!

I have to say I really enjoyed Owen Mullen’s first two books featuring PI Charlie Cameron – Games People Play and Old Friends and New Enemies – and have been recommending them both to everyone I speak to. This third novel, Before The Devil Knows You’re Dead is even better than the first two!

It may be that once we reach book three we know the characters who feature in all three books. I would love to meet Charlie Cameron!

I felt this book moved at a faster pace than the last which made it impossible to put down. I switched between the paperback and the kindle versions depending on where and when I was reading.

It was gripping and I look forward to Owen Mullen’s next release!
