Mayhem at the Lunatic Asylum
Above-average Hammer Frankenstein film makes up for the previous movie (a lousy reboot), finishes the series on a high note. Shane Briant is packed off to the looney bin for doing cover versions of Frankenstein's experiments, meets his hero, they team up.

Atmospheric and well-thought-through Frankenstein movie, good cast too. The actual creature looks like Bigfoot, which is a little odd to say the least, but the movie has moments of both subtlety and poignancy as it goes on. Peter Cushing rocks the joint in his last appearance as Frankenstein, managing to be both witty and chilling. Finishes with a very atypical but impressively ominous climax. One of the better late-period Hammers, and a worthy conclusion to both this series and Terence Fisher's career.

A chilling fairytale
A girl with a dark past, the black sheep of the family with a perfect sister, a strict, overbearing mother and an ill father, starts a red-blooded affair with a local boy, an enigma with history of run ins with the law.... and now a suspect in the worst of crimes.
Set in the gorgeously filmed isle of Jersey, Michael Pearce has directed on his debut a real nail biter. This take on the search for a serial killer of young girls, intertwined with a forbidden love story is an uncomfortable, disturbing watch at times.... but hypnotic. And newcomer Jessie Buckley is mesmerising, its hard to take your eyes off her.
Brilliant script, plot, pacing and ominous soundtrack.
A must watch for any fan of dark psychological thrillers.

Stop The Runaway Train Before Its Too Late
I have seen this movie about 6-7 times now. Each time i watch it, its a good time. The action, the drama and the suspense. Both Denzel and Chris do a excellent job in ths film which is inspired by true events.

The plot: When a massive, unmanned locomotive roars out of control, the threat is more ominous than just a derailment. The train is laden with toxic chemicals, and an accident would decimate human life and cause an environmental disaster. The only hope of bringing the train to a safe stop is in the hands of a veteran engineer (Denzel Washington) and a young conductor (Chris Pine), who must risk their lives to save those in the runaway's path. Inspired by true events.

Its a good movie.
