"I was born in '81 so I think it was around '89, '90 when that came out. I grew up listening to Boyz II Men at their peak and “End of the Road” was my favourite song when I was about 10 or 11. “It was the harmonies, the vocal abilities, but it was also the go-to song that kids at my school would ask me to sing. Because I could hold a note, but also because I prided myself on trying to learn the ad-libs that other people couldn't quite hit. “That was really why it really resonated with me, because it brings back memories of middle school. The vocal ability of Wanya in particular in that group was so outstanding to me. I learned so much from that one song."

A series of side-quests.

That's how I heard this described as before I got round to watching it.

That, and as a 'road movie'.

Having now watched it, I can see where both are coming from, with Geralt (now played by Liam Hemworth, replacing Henry Cavill who left due to 'creative differences') on what-amounts-to a (seemingly endless) trip across the war-torn continent in his quest to reunite with his "child of surprise", "the lion Cub of Cintra" Ciri as, concurrently, Yennefer struggles to defeat the mage Vilgefortz and as Ciri falls in with a young group of delinquents who call themselves the rats (and that's the poorest part of the season), wishing to hide her true identity.

Liam does his best.

It's hard not to compare him to Cavill,

"She'll be back..."

Third entry in The Terminator series, which is no no longer considered to be in canon (nor are Terminator: Salvation or Terminator: Genisys), with Jonathan Mostow taking over the reins from James Cameron and with ol' Arnie - pre becoming The Governator (of California), I believe - reprising his most famous role of a Terminator, a killing machine from the future sent back to fulfill a mission.

And, here, that mission involves Nick Stahles (taking over from Edward Furlong's) now 25 year old John Connor, who is living off the grid and on the road.

There also yet another sleek Terminator sent back, here taking the form of Kristinna Loken's T-X, with her own mission: I must admit, as well, to being rather surprised at that downer of an ending the first time I saw this!

Rachel Watson rides the train every day to a job she was fired from months ago. She spend the day in the city until it is time to go home again. As she passes the town of Witney, she always looks at two houses on Blenheim Road. Number 15 and number 23. Rachel used to live at 23 Blenheim Road with her husband Tom. But that was 2 years ago. Now she lives in a flat with her friend Cathy in Ashbury. Number 15 is occupied by Scott and Megan Hipwell who Rachel likes to refer to as Jess and John. Rachel enjoys watching Megan and Scott and their happy life together, so much unlike her own. Until one day, she sees something she knows she shouldn't have and then the next day Megan is reported missing. Could the information she have be the key to the investigation? Will the investigators believe her, or will they think she is just a lonely, drunkard who will try anything to get closer to her ex and his new wife.

I have been waiting to read this book for a very long time. It has been on my hold list at the library for about 4 months. I couldn't put it down. It kept me on the edge of my seat and I had to know what was going to happen next. There were a lot of shocking things about this book that makes you want to know who the culprit was. Who has Megan and what have they done with her? There were times where I was a bit confused about the different dates. The book goes from present to past from chapter to chapter and from person to person. I found myself flipping back to see where I was in the story to keep myself straight.

Overall, this is a good book. One that I will recommend over and over. It's a great thriller that you will not want to put down.
