Secret Beach Boyfriend in the newest installment from The Independence Island Series (book 3) and it did not disappoint! It can be read as a standalone. Kari Trumbo is a new to me author and I enjoyed her writing style. She brought more of the Merriweather Islands to life with great descriptions and new friends!
I loved Annie and Rafe, their chemistry was fun, engaging, and well laid out. Kari Trumbo covered some tough topics with them and integrated them in a compelling and straightforward way. From a dysfunctional family to OCD I enjoyed the dynamics of the characters and the interesting plot. A great addition to The Independence Island Series.
I give this book 4 out of 5 stars for the creative characters, the emotional tugs, and for pointing the reader back to Christ.

The Moonlight School was totally insightful and helped me learn about something I had not really thought of before. It was filled with a lot of good history, accurate details, and descriptive scenes (and I do mean vividly descriptive! I could totally see the scenes as the author described them). I loved how Suzanne Woods Fisher conveyed her characters, I thought that the characters had good arcs and that you could see them step out of their comfort zones all through the book. Their interactions with each other were engaging and realistic as well. I loved learning more about the moonlight schoolhouses and I thought that Suzanne Woods Fisher did a good job explaining the different nuances of it. I give this book 5 stars and I am so looking forward to more books from Suzanne Woods Fisher!

Great start to this new series by Jody Hedlund!

I’ll be honest. I am a sucker for a good western story. Probably something to do with my love of that era, and Jody Hedlund brought it to life in the most adventurous of ways, through a marriage of convenience story! I liked Greta from the first page until the end, watching her grow through the story was touching. Wyatt was deep. I loved his nature and his thought process he had good insight, and a good sense of humor at times. Overall, the story is just what I needed to sit back, relax, and know that I was in for a good ride. Plus, have I mentioned the GORGEOUS cover? It is even better in person. I am really looking forward to where Jody Hedlund will take this series next.

I loved Ginnie and Tillies adventures through this series. Both characters are full of life, somewhat sassy, and imaginative. Plus, I think they portray qualities that most kids of that age display. But one of my favorite things about this book (Really the series) is that Monique Buchger uses real life situations such as dysfunctional families, bullies, etc., to show the right ways to approach a situation. I truly commend her for not shying away from the tough issues and doing it in a clean way. While this is most likely the last book in this series, I hope to see more of Ginnie and Tillies adventures in the future.
I give this book 4 out of 5 stars for the creative characters, the themes displayed, and for leaving me smiling.

One Little Lie is the first book in the Pelican Harbor series, and after reading this one I certainly cannot wait to read the next book. I thought that the premise of this book was interesting; how one lie can turn into so much more. I enjoyed getting to know the characters in this book and I thought that they were interesting, relatable, and people I could see in real-life situations. Colleen Coble is one of my go-to authors when I need a good mystery without gory details or overdramatic scenes and she certainly came through again with this great book.

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars for the creative mystery, the strong characters, and for keeping my attention through the whole storyline and leaving me in anticipation of the next book in the series.

This was such a unique Amish book!
I loved the synopsis of the book; it is part of the reason I originally wanted to read this book. It turned out to be a great story, with a storyline I had never read in an Amish book before. Women everywhere want to be heard and loved for who they are, the Amish women are no different; it is just harder for them to show it. Jennifer Beckstrand explained the situation very well and made everything seem very plausible. She also did a great job describing the setting, the characters and their emotions. Jennifer Beckstrand really crafted a very good story about communication, forgiveness and second chances. With a little quirkiness thrown in, the Home on Huckleberry Hill is sure to be an interesting and fun read for everyone. I truly enjoyed this book.

An amazing story !
I think that this book was just the change of pace I needed. Such a refreshing story line and some great characters that wouldn't let me put the book down. Mercy and Caleb really have to learn the concept of communication, they learn that even when you are unsure of what reaction you might get you have to talk. They are a great example of everyday couples. We also see glimpses into how a communities deals with massive fires, I love Kelly Irvin's descriptions of emotions here through all the different characters. This book can be read as a stand alone, however, I think that there will be more books in this series (Or at least I hope so !). I can not wait to read what comes after this one.

A unique look into the life of the Amish.
The lifestyle and simplicity of the Amish has gained vast popularity in recent years and so many books are being written about it. Its getting kinda repetitive. This one is a very unique look at the trouble the Amish face when they are given the choice of becoming english or marrying and staying in the Amish Faith. This is the first Amish book I have read that the author does not completely agree with all the rules and orders of the Amish. It caused me to really think about the Amish faith and if I personally agreed with the way the Amish faith is portrayed.
I would highly recommend this book if for no other reason than that the author really makes you think.

Set aside some time because the minute you start to read this you won't want to put it down; I read it in one sitting. Grab yourself a box of tissues because you will need them while reading this poignant and at times heartbreaking story. I cannot remember the last time I read a book that touched on so many real life issues and I commend the outstanding job that the author has done here.

Jeremy's Story reads like a true story as we come to completely understand and applaud the portrayal of a fifteen year old teen boy who through no fault of his own has HIV. It is powerfully written and contains beautiful and heart felt characters. The message of acceptance, tolerance and of love that are contained within the pages of this book will forever stay with me and I loudly recommend this book to one and all.

"The Darkest Corners is a riveting YA read that will blow your mind and have you riding a volatile roller coaster of emotions.
