An old tale of cheating boyfriends and betraying best friends gets a revamp in this YA, humour-filled story, starring Felix and Hazel. Written from the perspectives of both of them, you are with Hazel as she learns about her boyfriend, Jay, and her best friend, Kimmy, now becoming a couple even though Jay forgot to mention it to her. School is tough and to find out in the school cafeteria is a hard one. Felix isn't prepared to let Hazel deal with it by herself, so he puts a plan in motion.

Well-written, humorous and with plenty of opportunities for reflection and passion, this story is light and thoroughly enjoyable. Movie references from the '80s abound, including one from The Princess Bride! I would have no hesitation in recommending this.

A Dowry of Blood ( Book 1)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is my last love letter to you, though some would call it a confession. . .

Saved from the brink of death by a mysterious stranger, Constanta is transformed from a medieval peasant into a bride fit for an undying king. But when Dracula draws a cunning aristocrat and a starving artist into his web of passion and deceit, Constanta realizes that her beloved is capable of terrible things.

Finding comfort in the arms of her rival consorts, she begins to unravel their husband's dark secrets. With the lives of everyone she loves on the line, Constanta will have to choose between her own freedom and her love for her husband. But bonds forged by blood can only be broken by death.

Not sure what I was expecting but I really really enjoyed this. Gothic vampire story full of that old feeling. The characters were so intriguing. Well written gave me Angel and spike early days vibes ( if you know you know).

ALPHA'S DIVERGENT OMEGA is a short introduction into the world of the Divergent Omegaverse.

Derick and Lane went against everyone, including their families, to marry each other and build up Starling Enterprises into 'big business'. They have eight sons, five of whom were adopted when their families didn't want them. You don't know much about the sons, which makes perfect sense as their stories are still to come.

What comes across loud and clear is the love and passion still between Derick and Lane, and the love they have for their boys. Certain changes make it clear it's time for them to retire, but they'll do it on their terms!

I look forward to the full-length stories in this series, getting to know the brothers better, and hopefully seeing more of Derick and Lane too.
