Told entirely from Trent's POV as he and Hilary visit 'their' parents, you get his feelings on what happened in the past, both to him and Hilary as teenagers, and then as he lives his lives that he has no memory of. Slowly, it all comes back to him. It takes a talking-to from Dad before he can start putting things in their rightful places, though.
Although not as dark, this was certainly as emotional, especially as Trent remembers/is told about things that have happened before and tries to figure out how it works this time.
A great epilogue that I'm glad to have read. I absolutely recommend reading this after Hilarina and the Ogre.
