Eliza is a Mary Sue
Alex and Eliza
While intended to be the story of the courtship of Alexander Hamilton and Eliza Schuyler, if going by what historically happened it's not much other than a very sweet story. But even that was disregarded for the sake of creating pointless drama and messing with who these real people were to the point that they are hardly recognizable as themselves. Particularly Eliza who behaves more like a 21st century girl in a corset.

school shooting in Ya
Honestly if your going to read a YA book involving a school shooting read Hate List by Jennifer Brown.

I didn't connect with Sam and there was a lot of things both schools did after the event that just wouldn't happen school have certain rules with dealing with event and i just couldn't get into this book. I do applaude anyone who takes on such a difficult subject matter however more people should be willing to try writing about the difficult things in life to help people try to understand.

This isn't normally a genre that I read but it was Aprils book group choice so I gave it a go (sad stories make me sad!) The friendship that formed between Lizzie and The Buckminster boy was one of faith and finding out about a different way of life. It's hard to think that there was a time when people really choose to treat other people in this way but it was nice to see that a young boy could overlook what society told him he should see.

This book was a heavy read, and I was upset after I finished it for a few days. While the 'opioid epidemic' may seem strange outside of the US, and even where I live, because it's not as bad as the region that this book covered.
This journalist interviewed people that were involved in all aspects of OUD (opioid use disorder), from the people that have OUD, their families, and numerous doctors and counselors. It's a very comprehensive look at the whole situation. It was very haunting, and tragic.

Old fashioned creepy
A good old fashioned ghost story. A creepy old house, odd servants, a pregnant widow left to her own thoughts in a big empty house.

And wooden people! Wooden people who multiply! And move on their own!

The story is set over 3 time periods. In the 1600s and in the 1800s. What happens in the earlier time is revealed through a diary found by one of the later characters.

Is it witchcraft? Is it insanity? Or ghosts? Read this book to find out. I really enjoyed it.

I finally finished this book in between reading others. I enjoyed it and learned a great deal. I'm glad Nonna's story was published. People do need to know what happened to so many innocent victims thanks to Hitler. She was right when she said the only "crime" these people committed was being born. I shudder and tear up often, thinking of the atrocities that so many went through and how many more of them perished, because of the evil and hatred of one man. I highly recommend this book!

This was fun to read and see that an angel speaks in this book. It there to help two people. It was sweet to see the two angels battle in the book. The funny things they do to get the two people to listen. I really like it with Jordan that he get different things.

It was kinda different for Rachel. Though Rachel need to understand what happened to her brother and learn about forgiving. You would be surprise with all the things that happen and what comes of it.

My life as a 12 year old
This game was everything for one short summer at the age of 12. Once you have finally set up the pieces (upteen mountains in the middle, forest round the edge and beach after that) you have to spin the wheel to try and get a boat or a dolphin to take your people to safety before the island sinks (which happens one piece at a time) but being careful to avoid the kraken and sea monsters who will sink your boat/eat your people. Endless fun.

At the moment this is my entire life!
It's actually a lot of fun. The game has kept up with having new events, quests and challenges every few weeks to keep everyone interested and playing.

I know there was a lot of hype when it first came out, then a lot of people stopped, but it's actually really good.

Doing raids you meet new people and I have met a lot of nice folks out there. Looking forward to Larvitar Community Day this Saturday!
