Eliza and Her Monsters
Eliza and Her Monsters
Francesca Zappia | 2017 | Romance, Young Adult (YA)
I cannot stop recommending this book to people. It’s Fangirl, but so much better. More character depth and actual risk if secrets get revealed. The world that Eliza creates belongs to her and is such an important part of her life, but she can’t really tell anyone irl about it.

This book is a good, quick read about the Magna Carta and the circumstances surrounding it. It also discusses the sort of myth surrounding it, and the fact that the majority of time, it hasn't really contributed much, other than being a contract between a country's leader(s) and the people.

There are pieces of this film that are very strong and show that the people who worked on it are talented, but this project feels more like an outlet for them to show off their abilities than the best combination of those abilities.

2015 | Card Game, Deduction, Party Game, Spies / Espionage, Word Game
Endless replayability, great party game. Works best with an even number of people, but if you have at least six, it's probably not a big deal if one team is slightly bigger. I wouldn't play three vs two, though. Unlike a lot of party games, requires some thought, which is nice.

who knew zombie lit could be so enjoyable? not i.
once you get over the constant (seriously, every introspective conversation people have) philosophizing about what makes the living different from the undead and the super corny, hard to believe "this is the woman i love!" declarations it's really quite good.

Several stories of people who need a miracle are intertwined with the politics surrounding Yeshua in first century Israel. The result is a powerful look at God's mercy and love.

Roots: The Next Generations
Roots: The Next Generations
1979 | Drama, History, War
Just as good as the original, this program picks up where the original Roots left off and shows further generations of the Haley family progress until today.

The stresses and tortures people had to deal will, cope and figure how to endure still amaze me.

This series of comics focuses on the 'red in my ledger' aspect of Black Widow, as was mentioned in the MCU film, The Avengers. Which was a good direction to go to get people interested in a Black Widow comic. Overall, a great opening volume of the series.
