A dystopian current affairs magical realistic fiction
A deeply tragic account of how two people can be caught in circumstances of war, how easy it is to lose everything and the potential hope that humanity offers. Saeed and Nadia attempt to face an apocalyptic situation in the face of adversity despite having a tenuous connection to one another. It is quite a depressing read especially given the current situation in the Middle East - but Hamid does a great job in humanising the characters. They are just two simple people attempting to make a relationship work under intense circumstances. A beautiful account, I just wished the story was slightly more developed as it tended to run from one scene to another.

The premise behind this book is a sweet high school romance that is tested when they leave for college. The twist come when T meets other genderqueer people and begins to question who she really is. This is all completely normal I was just not impressed with the way the book dealt with it. Too many stereo types. Also I felt that the people around T were pushing for a decision that T was not ready for. Experimenting is part of life but no one should be pushed one way by peers. It is a journey only that person can take. Also, all the labels! We are all just human. I enjoyed this book but it frustrated the heck out of me at the same time.

I got this book from the author for a honest review. I am not a big fan of zombie books and honestly this one isn't a lot different for me except that the characters and plot of the book were better then most...I still didnt like the whole zombie eating people thing etc...but honestly I did enjoy the story..there was more to the zombies then just eating people and wasn't a bad story. I would def recommend this story to those who enjoy zombies especially and for those who might be interested in trying a new zombie book just to try one this would be a good one to start with. I am thinking about reading the next book when it comes out. :)

I see dead people
A young boy named Cole Sear (Osment) has a unique ability to see dead people. Dr. Malcom Crowe (willis) is a child psychologist who has tasked himself to trying to believe Sear. The souls that Sear sees want him to do one last task for them. Sometimes Cole wants to and sometimes he doesn't. Crowe is dealing with his own problems after and old case shoots him in his house and then commits suicide. He strives to help Cole with his problem and make him believe in himself when it's his own self he should be examining. The movie has a amazing ending that if you have never seen it then you will want to watch again to pick up on the clues.
